With winter upon them, he had become more active. One would assume such a season made all males so active but Tesseract? He had other intentions. Honestly, he had been actively avoiding spending too much time with his Caligula, afraid she would demand more children of them. Three daughters were difficult enough to raise particularly when he remembered the horrible scene he had come across last spring - Caligula's pregnancy and the aftermath had certainly not gone smoothly. For her health, and his sanity, he figured it was best he divert her attention to other things. Firstly, he had promised her a new home - a promise he had failed to deliver on last spring - which would undoubtedly keep her occupied scouting the land. Secondly, he had promised the children hunting and fighting lessons... and ran for it before they could take him up on such an offer. They would keep her busy. He was a brilliant tactician, no?

He had strayed some distance from his home region of the crater, further investigating the spoils of winter it would seem. Snow had fallen over the western region of the crater and yet, the eastern side seemed barer, the tall trees and dense canopy preventing it from completing its mission. He rather enjoyed it - the cold without the snow, that was, and it gave him the opportunity to stretch his legs. With his promise to Caligula sealing his fate, he would best get himself back into shape he figured, his laziness over the last few seasons making him feel even worst over his prior failure. This time, he could not fail for this time, it was not simply Caligula that help him in high regards but his daughters too.

With a final stretch of his legs, he yawned and shook his pelt free of debris before he took off. In an explosive burst of speed, he shot forward, his long legs eating the ground up beneath him as he weaved and darted through the wood works. His talent had always been his speed and now he felt truly himself, the wind rippling through his pelt and his nose sucking in the fresh scent of the conifers. The darkness posed a challenge for him, forcing him to compute and analyse the world around him in such a delightful way - this was the break he needed. The silence of his mind was a relief, his thoughts finally put to rest as he simply did as wolves did.

As he broke through the thickest region of the woods, he was brought suddenly to the attention of a piercing howl nearby and instantly slowed to a lope. Feeling exceptionally social, he too lifted his muzzle, his own chorus echoing out through the darkness as he began to follow the sound of the other. It took him but a few moments until his eyes rest on the silhouette of the female - she was a waif, a tiny thing that stood perhaps at his shoulder. For this, he kept his distance, working actively so that he caught the light enough to reveal himself long before his foot falls gave away his position. Ah, he did not wish to scare the poor girl after all.

"It would appear that you are having a fantastic evening."

The moment he met her eyes with his own, he would bow his head low, a greeting of sorts as he moved forward slowly, ever weary of her demeanor. If she was flighty, he would keep his distance, though if she allowed, he would come within some five or so feet of her before pivoting so as to face the sky as she did.

"Would you mind the company?"

Yes, this would be a good start if he did indeed intend on re-entering the world, no?
