News - SUMMER

Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

Give your congratulations to Maiko. She has been promoted to Blizzard; she earned it.

We also have an activity check going. Please reply so I can make adjustments accordingly. Check will go for an entire month so we can hopefully capture everyone.

As always, if you have need of me, do not hesitate to find me.

I moved amongst them silently, glowing white form silent atop the snow as I came, passing like a ghost in-between the bloody and broken creatures that littered the earth. I have seen war, I have brought death my entire life and indeed I find the sight of blood on snow no longer effects me at all. So many whom carry my lineage are Marked this way, like blood on snow and for a moment I am given to find some passing humour in this as I nod to one wolf or another, offering something of a congratulations to those who offer greeting to me in turn as I move to seek my Isola. Azrael I know Is well. He was the first to return, bolting across the earth and towards his mate and children, his face awash in red and yet truly the boy cannot be that injured if he can run as I have just witnessed. The violet of my gaze was momentarily distracted as some gangly black creature thudded into my chest, one violet eye lifting at the sight of one of my grandsons, Azrael’s boy, the black yearling stuttering something at me before he moved to race off once more, a snort of disdain managing to exit my lips as I rolled my eyes, parting my lips to speak before thinking better of it. Honestly I am hardly surprised Azrael has managed to further some sort of illiterate child. Even if the boy is born of an imprint bond, the most sacred of bonds from which children of Fate are born I cannot bring myself to find favour in that child. He is my grandson, I love him, I always will, yet really, is the boy incapable of speaking or is he just as his Father? Lazy.

Shaking myself once more I continued on until I spied my daughter amongst the masses, her paws pressed to the bleeding limb of Kokuto, her own white form baring blood within her ruff and against her shoulder, the rest of her frame seeming fortunately unharmed. I knew indeed she would survive this day, I did not doubt her ability to lead to wolves to war even if she herself did not think it so. She is stronger then she believes, there is much within Isola that will see her be the leader I was, if not more. Besides, she is mated to a boy born to war, Kane sired by the only wolf save for myself to never see defeat upon the field of battle, Devil a near legend in this regard. I never doubted Diveen and yet I had been content for Isola to discover her skills alone in this regard. I offered a grin, gentle and passing as I caught her eye. I would see her soon, yet for now I will leave her to her pack, my violet gaze lifting to watch Iblis as he left, a frown crossing my features. I would seek him again in time. For now my thoughts turn to another, my form pausing to nod to Kane as I passed, attempting to ignore his rather injured face. He’d better be planning to do something about that, no daughter of mine will be seen with a deformed mate. Snorting once more I passed through the wolves once more, offering a few words of praise here and there before I sought the one I desired. Ava.

I pivoted once more upon the newly fallen snow, moving softly across the ground to the place my granddaughter sat, the violet of my gaze dropping to the boy that sat before her and the large female pup who sat at her side, my ears sliding forward to capture the end of her words, a smirk ghosting my features as I chuckled easily. You can only trust yourself. I had told Ava such a thing many years ago, when perhaps she was no older then the pups who sat with her. Her children, our children, though never will I lay claim to them. I cannot, that is scandal even I am not willing to face, that is drama this land is not yet ready for and a secret is seems we are both content to keep. I had given Ava what she desired that night, our union, against my better judgement ad seen her bear me three children, two more sons, one of which sat before me now and a daughter, the one within her mothers shadow. Never will I say it, never will I admit it- yet Ava had been right that day. We had created perfection, these children are crafted of the most perfect blood, blood that runs so thickly with dominance, power, ambition and leadership combined within flawless forms. They are designed to be faultless, designed to be just as Ava desired, my blood adding what hers lacked, giving her, in one way, the blood she had always desired. I cannot bring myself to regret that night, though indeed some part within myself still recoils from that which I had done. It is a difficult thing, my emotions perhaps….conflicted in some regard and yet the evidence cannot be denied. Ayal, Eden and Anselm. Principium et finis. The beginning and the end.

I moved to come before them, flicking my tail to trail against Ava’s side. She may not be a creature born off affection, just as myself, yet I see no need not to offer something of a gesture, if only to irritate her slightly before the violet of my gaze runs across her form. Unmarked, unscathed, typical. I allowed a smirk to cross my lips once more before I came to seat myself before her and beside my Eden, allowing my eyes to lower to him a moment, carefully studying him before moving to offer Ayal the same scrutiny, keeping my features blank and devoid as if indeed they were no more then my great grandchildren, no more or less than any of those related to myself in this way before my gaze returned to Ava, smirk still in place upon my handsome features as my toned form relaxed slightly. I may be old, but I still maintain my fitness, I am as close to perfection as any ever came, old or not I still maintain that I look rather exceptional.

“Bene Bene, bene cum prius non esset, bellum quaerit. Dic mihi si tu non solum actu aliquam pugnam neque ad vestram peltas fulgor procul hmm?”
(Well, well, well, your looking rather well for having just been in a war. Tell me, did you actually engage in any fighting or did you merely glare at your targets from a distance, hmm?)

I offered the words teasingly, white teeth flashed as I chuckled. Ava may be a goddess among mortals- yet until the day I die I will stand above her and I will speak to her just as I desire. I do however, admire her condition, she truly has become a force to be reckoned with, some part of myself taking great pride within her s I spoke more levelly now, more evenly, content to continue to ignore the children for now.

“Age, carissima, sciendum quod hoc bellum mihi. Sunt aliqui occisi? Estne aliquid ego fore particurlar .... interest scire?”
(Tell me now, darling, tell me what I must know of this war. Were any killed? Is there anything I would find particurlar....interest in knowing?)

One eye lifted in curiosity, my attention firmly on my former apprentice, focused on business alone in this moment, awaiting her response as my ears slide forward in a curious manner, interested indeed to see whether or not anything of interest had occurred during this battle before letting my attention drift momentarily to the pups, ignoring any desire to touch them or speak with affection beyond that of a great grandfather. None will know, none will ever know. I regarded Eden first, eyeing him momentarily.

“Eden estis, sic? Quia nata es in die qua nata es valde. Respice multo sicut avus tuus, Castor et vos, Ayal, creverunt et videte quantum mater et avia tua coram te. Ava bene audiunt loquitur, scit quod quidam non.”
(You are Eden, yes? You have grown much since the day you were born. You look much like your Grandfather, Castor and you, Ayal, have grown also, you look much as your Mother and Grandmother before you. Listen well to Ava when she speaks, she knows what others do not.)

I have not come to see them since the day there were born, I do not doubt they know little of me, perhaps no more then my name and my supposed relation to themselves and that will have to be enough. They are not mine to claim, but Ava’s alone. Though until that day I die I will watch over them from afar.
