Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

The sun-drenched rocks where she sat were relatively warm compared to the chilly, snow-laden landscape beyond the turbulence of the waterfalls -- but it was still far too cold for Chickadee. She shivered, tucking her tail a little tighter around her haunches.

Chicky had found a place just far enough away from the waterfall to avoid getting hit by the cold spray, but close enough to catch the early morning rays of sunshine. Her small, rounded face wore an expression of thoughtfulness as she gazed absently at the cascading water.

It had been a few days since she had stumbled upon this new land so unlike what she had been used to. Chickadee had begun to loosen up a little, feeling slightly more comfortable with the thought of being surrounded by so many unknown wolves. But that did not mean she had made many friends.

It had never been easy for the timid female to forge bonds with others -- even when her heart was aching for companionship. It seemed that every time Chicky arrived at the opportunity to make a friend, she would inevitably do or say the wrong thing.

And so she sat, contemplating this odd fate of hers.

Perhaps it was only a matter of time. The auburn-pelted female stretched her forelegs out and slid down to her belly, yawning. She had always been a firm believer in the idea that everything happened for a reason... All she could do was wait patiently for the gods of fate to reveal her destiny.

For now, Chicky laid her head on her forepaws and sighed.
