Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

A heart on fire is hard to catch
Nootau ears flicked and he titled his head in curiosity at her aloof words. Despite her assurance, it was only natural to worry just a little bit when someone else was hurt. Judging from her words, it had been some battle then. Never had he heard of a wolf fight getting so nasty. Of course, he couldn’t be sure the injuries were given to her by a wolf. He wasn’t an experienced fighter, and as such, hadn’t developed the skill to know a wolf bite from a fox’s. He only nodded and let it pass. If she wanted to forget about the battle, then he was in no position to stop her. Instead he focused his orange eyes on the lovey curves of her face as she spoke.

Nootau’s tail thudded against the ground as she expressed her like of the word “ma’am.” Too cute, too cute! The edges of his lips pulled up in a suppressed grin and he prevented himself from crooning “aw” to himself. He visibly perked up again when she told him her name. Isola. Nootau made almost a purring sound in his throat. The name fit her really well. It was almost a soft word, like the luscious thick fur that blanketed her. Unfortunately, he hadn’t heard of Isola’s homeland. Diveen was a new pack to him. Judging for her though, the wolves in it must be pretty awesome. Nootau got a picture in his head of a pack of large, white wolves standing together. An intimidating sight… but somehow hopeful as well.

Nootau nodded in understanding of her words when she seemed to seek it. He knew the feeling of needing a change quite well. He was curious to know why she needed it, but he didn’t ask. Being nosey wasn’t his mantra. When she continued, he blinked in surprise at her invitation. What a delightful idea! Nootau nodded happily. What reason to say no? Beautiful winter night, nothing to do, and a lovey she-wolf to share it with. Perfect night, huh? “Yeah! ” Nootau agreed. The woods would be a glorious place to explore. It was full of hidden hallows and secret beauties. A brief breeze tickled Nootau’s coat and pulled at him as if to demand “get a move on!” Nootau grinned and hopped to his paws.

He trotted ahead a few paces and then paused to wait for her. “Do you have anything specific you want to know?” He could tell her lots of things, of course, but he’d rather have a conversation rather than tell her pointless facts about himself. It was a strange subject for him, too. He hadn’t had many chances to brag about himself or talk about what he enjoyed. He wasn’t really sure where to start, so he had given the choice to Isola.
