Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

They were slow to come but come they did - he was almost relieved to at least see that Glorall's breath had not entirely died out. There were still some, though few, that dwelt within the seascape. Of course, the first to have come had been Caligula, a woman he greeted most joyously, his own muzzle nudging against hers affectionately as his tail waved proudly behind. She knew what it meant - it meant so much more than a simple greeting. She was his, he was hers and finally, he had granted her a place to do as she would wished. Such affection could have only been short lived for soon enough, he caught the sudden movement of something - someone - small dashing towards him. At first he had expected it was one of his own daughters but soon enough, he found it to be a strange child, one seemingly oblivious to what was happening. He watched, frowning slightly in observation. Had he expected her to stop? Yes. Had she? No. With his injuries stiff and uncomfortable, he hardly had the energy to leap away from her and felt her sharp, needle-like teeth dig into his paw. He instinctively pulled it up and away from her, growling beneath his breath - he was all too used to this, though he had not expected it to come from a stranger.

It seemed that during his moment of confusion, others had trickled in and another appeared before him. She was white, splattered over with black and she pulled the child back and away. It was then that he rose to meet the female's gaze, a cocked brow though remained silent as another child came to sit beside the woman. Finally, he shook his head, breaking into a slight grin as she chuckled beneath his breath.

"I have daughters, dear Engima. You need not worry about apologizing - I know how they can be."

Still, he glanced down at the young girl through narrowed eyes, giving his own silent disapproval before lowering his muzzle to her level. He was cautious this time, keeping a close eye on her for already he expected her to... make unexpected movements. At least there were children, two in fact, that could keep his own daughters - and future children - company. Already he imagined the young girl, Viora, getting along with Cersei at least.

"I have two other daughters hiding somewhere in Glorall, Viora and Tristan. I am willing to bet you can find them, maybe even beat them if you try."

He winked playfully at the two before rising once more, quietly hoping that such a challenge would serve as a distraction and render him safe from even more children's teeth. Cersei had yet to appear, as had Maradona, though he imagined they were both obsessively getting to know the landscape. With another smile, this time directed to his mate as he leaned gently against her, he surveyed the land once more in search of others. Had that been it? Two children and a woman who, though she looked healthy, had certainly seen many years. Still, she was sturdily built and seemingly in good enough spirits - her children, too, were lively enough. He thought as he surveyed, attempting to configure in his mind what the Enigma lady might have found herself doing beneath the prior Alpha's rule. Surely she had not been resigned to the position of an Elder? Such roles seemed more fit for those that did not remain so... fit.

Then another arrived on the horizon, a wolf he knew too well. She smelt faintly of blood and he cocked a brow, flashing a curious glance to Caligula before he stepped forward and dipped his head in a silent greeting. Rogue. She had been a wolf of Iromar though it seemed she had left some time ago, her pelt completely and utterly free of the smell of the marsh. A good choice if he did not say so himself. In silence, he swept over her body with his eyes, noting the deep wounds that carved their way into her and the wounds over her face. What had happened there? It was no place to discuss such things but... soon, he would.

"I abandoned Iromar a long time ago - such is not the place for a logical wolf. As for your place here? But of course."

He held her gaze for some time, smiling that same self assured grin that would speak volumes to Caligula - he was planning something as he always did. Rogue was a useful wolf, a wolf knowledgeable of much he was sure. Once he had addressed each wolf, he would meet with them each privately to assess them, to ensure that they had an understanding. Rogue would, perhaps, be his final destination for she was a wolf he had much to discuss with. For now, there was another to address - she spoke quietly, her small body situated by Enigma. She seemed to be a timid thing, uncertain and yet, Tesseract gave her the same respect as he would any other. Again, he dipped his head low in a wordless greeting, his ear flickering as she named herself. It was time now, he figured, to address the remnants of the sea side pack. Had this been all or had others decided to hide away?

"It is a pleasure for myself and mate, Caligula, and my daughter, Octavia -" he motioned to his mate and daughter, beckoning for the two to once more stand beside him before continuing, "I am Tesseract. Rhoedias has left these lands and thus, I have stepped in to take charge where others have failed. You have my word that things will change here, though for the better of course."

He paused, meeting each of their gazes once more with a final decisive nod.

"Thank you for coming to be greeted. From here, I would like to meet with you each individually if you would allow. I would like for us to know one another, and to gauge where it is you believe you will excel and what roles it is you enjoy."

He turned then to Alana, flashing her a broad grin and once more waving his tail slowly behind as he stepped forward towards her.

"Alana, would you care to go for a walk with me down by the shore?" He glanced then to Enigma and Caligula before speaking, "Perhaps the two of you can find our daughters and introduce Viora and Tristan. I would like to seek you out later if that is okay, Enigma?"

He waited then, as expectantly as ever, to see how such requests would go. If Alana were to go with him, he would make it his objective to move closely to Rogue, passing by and speaking into her ear directly so that others would not overhear.

"We shall speak tonight, you and I."

It was not a question but he doubted she would have any real quarrels with it.
