Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

It was just her luck, really. After her admittedly terrible landing, to have this brute come running up to her and screaming at her. First in a familiar, if seldom used language; Latin, and then in English. Oh ho ho, he probably thought she didn't know Latin, aye? Joke's on him, though, because Jagger was fluent in it. When she was young, just setting out on her own, a pack had taken her in during a Blizzard. They had been a predominantly Latin speaking pack, and she had ended up staying until she had gotten the language down. She couldn't help herself, the words springing to her tongue unbidden.

"Quid feci? Quid feci? Et censebis esse me offenderet?! Respice te ipsum, bastardus!" {What I did? What I did? And you think I'm offensive?! Look at yourself, bastard!} She bared her teeth, not intimidated by his bigger size. They looked to be close in weight, but he was taller than her by a good few inches. No matter, she was a brawler through and through and had skills mercenaries would envy. He looked ridiculous, fawning over himself like that. It was water, not acid. He'd be fine.

"Oh I'm scaring the fish away? Did it cross your mind your the one scaring them away?" If she was a fish she'd certainly get the heck out of dodge with him around. Sitting and grooming himself like some vain female. Really, why would someone do that? She huffed and walked to the bank, chin held high, whipping her tail towards him to aim a stream of cold water at him. That'd teach him for being so concerned with his precious hair. "And I don't lie in dirt, as you so eloquently put it. And what about you, mm? And what is it megalomaniacs do? Sit and fawn over themselves all day?" She grinned sardonically at him, wanting to rip his face off. That'd teach him.
