Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Dimas felt that he couldn’t help but smile at this female’s predicament. Certainly when he was her age, that awkward period of growth when your body couldn’t decide to be a puppy or be fully grown, he had had plenty of embarrassing falls of his own. Especially since his brain seemed to think he could move faster than his feet. He still hadn’t lost all of the awkwardness he’d had back then, still having an awkward bearing about him. His is more from his own mentality than any physical issues. His body has long grown into an adult, but he still sees himself as a puppy.

His white tail wagged slightly as she introduced herself. Daenerys. Not as pretty a name as Seren, but it was still a nice name all the same. Seren had a lovely coat too, the most beautiful he had ever seen. And her eyes had been just as lovely, so lovely that he had gotten lost in them when she had stared into his own. The smell of death had clung to her like a bad perfume, but he hadn’t cared. He would have followed her to the ends of the earth. If he had any idea where she was, he would still follow her. But no, she was gone. Vanished into the thin air. He had wandered and there had been no trace of her.

He hadn’t realized he had been lost in his thoughts until Dany shifted slightly and he was brought back to the present. Realizing that the he had not responded and that she had likely noticed, he stumbled to catch himself. “Oh, that’s a lovely name, Dany. Er, if I can call you that. I mean, you said people do but you didn’t say I could. Sorry,” he said, his speech comic in its speed.

He relaxed slightly as she spoke again, hoping that she didn’t find him too strange. He felt too strange. Perhaps that was why he had met so few here. “Well I am glad you were not injured.”

His head tilted slightly as she came to sit near him, the breeze revealing a most interesting layer to her coat. It was really unique. His coat just had the stormy grey on the top of his head and on his back, nothing as startling as the fascinating undercoat she sported. At least, that was what he thought. In truth, Dimas’s naturally muscular figure and, save for his markings, spotlessly white coat created a rather handsome image for him. His ice blue eyes a strong hint of color against the rest of his features.

He looked around as she spoke of the beauty of these lands, his face showing that he truly had not seen it until she pointed it out. And indeed he hadn’t, being so distracted with his thoughts and his loneliness. “I uh…I actually hadn’t noticed,” he said, distracted again, though this time by the nature around them. “I have just been wandering. I don’t have a home yet. Well, besides wherever I decide to stay that night. But it’s really quite random.”

He turned his attention back to her, curious now that he realized she had mentioned having a home. It must be nice, a home. People expecting you to be there at some point. He hadn’t had that since he got to these lands. It was only a year ago, but it seemed like so long. He felt so changed. “Your home, what is it like?”
