Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Octavia wasn’t really concerned with the fact she was technically a princess. It didn’t matter all that much, and that was what made her happy. She could do whatever she really wanted… including playing in the snow. Things had been a sort of wonderland as of lately, especially in Glorall. Moving in in the middle of the winter had been totally worth it. Things here built up so much better, and they rarely got warm enough to melt and refreeze to form the bizarre icy crust she wasn’t so fond of. The pup was able to romp and play, albeit on her own, in the snow. Snow was good.

And she was good too. The creature simply romped about in the chest high snow, testing out muscles that were starting to develop in tone and structure. Though the day was blustery and cold, at least the sun shone through the clouds. Clouds were never good, but the doom and gloom didn’t really hold her back too bad. Just romping in the snow, being a kid… that’s what she needed. That’s what she was going to do, and that seemed entirely legitimate. Clumps of ice and snow stuck to her coat, sending the cold deeper into her bones, but it would wear away eventually. She would be quite okay in the long run. All she needed was the snow.
