Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

She was pleasantly surprised when he didn't call her out on her lack of bowing. It was was a nice change; most of the alpha's she met got mildly put out at best if she didn't bow. That alone told her that he was a just leader; didn't get angry when there wasn't a reason to be. She cocked her head slightly at Chickadee's reaction though, not being able to help it. Huh. So the girl trusted the male, Tesseract, that much? Or was it only because he the alpha that had apparently offered her shelter. She'd find out out later, she decided, immediately relaxing her stance when Chicky gave a nod. She already considered her a best friend, if not pseudo-sister. If she trusted Tesseract, then Jagger would too. Unless he proved undeserving of this trust, of course.

She nodded back to him, again, pleasantly surprised. Normally alphas would be more suspicious or standoffish to strangers on their borders, but it seemed that wasn't the case with the Glorall leader. Well, if she decided to stay in Moladion -which she probably would, unless Chicky wanted to come with her- she might just join his pack. She noticed how he wagged his tail and shifted a little away from Chickadee, and held in a chuckle, giving a wag of her own. So he noticed her protective streak, yes? Well, good. Jagger protected anyone in her care -her loved ones already included- whether she wanted to or not. If she was charged with guarding someone she hated, she'd still protect them with all she had, as if they were a close friend. She wouldn't -couldn't- forgive herself if anything happened to those under her protection, personal relations be damned. As it stood, being welcomed so kindly by the male, if Glorall ever went to war, Tesseract had found him a loyal and unrelenting ally.

She grinned at his words, chuckling a little. "I couldn't agree with you more," She was perfectly content with her friend introducing her, smiling back at him when he stepped aside, like opening the gates to some coastal kingdom. She wagged her tail, gazing intently at the lands beyond, keen eyes seeming to take in everything at once now that Tesseract had moved aside. Oh curiosity was practically bursting now. She nodded in agreement and thanks at his last words before turning to Chicky, a teasing grin pulling her lips. "As much as I love a good storm, I'm soaked enough as it is. What do you say, Chicky?" She didn't think she would mind Jagger using her nickname for her in front of the male, and she truly wanted to know what she thought, though she was almost positive she'd agree. She wouldn't just go into a land she didn't want to go in and force her to follow or leave her behind. She always put others before herself, whether they were friends or complete strangers not mattering to her much at all.

But she wouldn't just take shelter from him without paying it back; it was simply not her way. If there were any jobs around the lands that she could do for the duration of their stay, however long that may be, she would do them without so much as a pip of complaint. She was a hard worker, and damn near tireless. While she might complain jokingly, when she got down to business she didn't utter a sound of resentment. She simply did the job. Whining about it wouldn't help any, so why bother? She decided to make her intentions to know him; lest he come by one day to find her running drills with the new recruits. Fighting was in her blood, and if she could pass on her knowledge to those who wanted it she would.

"Is there anything I can do in return?" She asked, genuinely asking. It was not simply out of manners. "I'm a decent fighter," She chuckled, "I could give some pups a lesson or two." She was a humble wolf, did not need to assail others with stories of her prowess. She was simply decent; good but always with room to improve. She believed that no matter how good you were at something, there was always someone who was better, someone you could learn from.
