Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Return to Lunar Children
I'm beginning to feel like a Dungeon Dragon --Viora/any--

soul forever her own | heart captured by none | Hastati for Glorall | no children |

It was early morning, the sky still pink and peach, shot through with wispy clouds as the sun continued to rise. Why was the brawler up so early you ask? Why, she was searching for new pupil. Tesseract had enlisted her to start training a pup named Viora, and seeing as she'd been with the pack a few days now she decided it was as good a time as any to start. She wanted to start early in the day as possible in order to get as much in --she'd heard of her charge's...focusing problems. And the biting problems. No matter, Jagger was used to bites, and puppy teeth didn't hurt as much as alligator or cougar teeth. Besides, enthusiastic biting could be a good thing when it came to fighters, as long as they didn't bite the wrong wolf.

She walked through the lands, looking for the black and white pup. She nodded to the few pack members she already knew, leaving Chickadee to sleep. She did not quite know how they became sisters, only that they simply were; they met, became best friends near instantly, and now were sisters for all intents and purposes. They were pretty much polar opposites; Chicky shy and anxious, Jag outgoing and roll-with-the-punches. But they looked out for one another. Jag looked out for Chicky, taking up the position of her bodyguard for lack of a term, while Chicky fell into the roll of confidant for the bigger femme, something she had never had before. Yes, she had friends who would listen to her problems; if she chose to tell them, that is. Chicky was the first one Jag had seriously considered talking to. Truly talking to, and not just shrugging them off when they asked of her troubles. Which was a good thing, because the bane of her existence, a male that wouldn't leave her alone, had followed her to Moladion, and never had she needed someone to talk to more.

She was happy with her life -despite He Who Shall Not Be Named- at the moment. She was in a pack, really, truly in a pack and not just staying with one for a few days, and she had a rank she liked. Hastati. One of the warriors of the pack. While that was all well and good, she wanted to rise. Wanted to become the Achilles -the head of Glorall's fighting forces and an Advisory to the Potentate and Baroness. Yes, a tough job and one that entailed a lot, but she would put her all into it. She fought all her life, and now she had a pack to protect instead of just herself and the scattered network of friends. Plus, her sister was in this pack with her. Tesseract, whom she considered a friend as well as her alpha, headed Glorall. She would fight for this land and those who called it home till her dying breath, and wouldn't stop until she'd been confirmed dead.

Her first task as a Hastati: teach Viora focus and defense. It would be a challenge, from what she'd heard of the energetic pup, but she'd also heard that she wanted to be a Hastati as well. That should be a form of a plus, right? She was a Hastati, and she was training a pup who wanted to be a Hastati as well. That might be of some help.

Now if she could only find the pup.
