Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Oh, how right she was to assume that his suspicions had been roused by her silence. As the silence progressed, he had shifted slightly, giving her even more personal space though his eyes had slowly trailed towards her, watching the twitch of her features. The moment she spoke is when his utmost attention returned to her, his ears erect and eyes widened slightly as she trailed off, her voice nearly lost in the wind. At first, he remained silent, his emotions flat lining but the realisation sunk in soon enough and he felt his heart swell with anger. The implication of what had occurred was all too obvious, and he able to relate for once in his life - he had daughters, a mate, a sister. If anything had befallen them as it had befallen Alana... he'd cull them. He would eradicate them as a plague. There was no use to a man who forced children upon a woman - even he could not see a use, a single redeeming quality. Though as silent as he had been, he uttered a low growl as he stared out over the sea, his hackles rising along his spine.

"Have you a name for the male? Was he foolish enough to dare utter it?"

It took him some time to compose himself, his breathing slow and drawn out as he shut his eyes, attempting to purvey self control once again. Perhaps he had been her lifesaver in that moment but she had been his too - he had felt his muscles twitching, readying themselves for combat, to find the low life that had forced himself onto another. Now, he had been taken back to where they had left off and what his intentions had truly been. He wanted to find her a place in the ranks where she would feel at home. He remembered, and he breathed out a hefty sigh, inhaling deep and turning to face her once more. This time, he forced a smile, a kindly one at that. For now, it was business but soon enough, he would have other matters he would need to discuss. Pack was family and what had he been raised to believe so thoroughly? You protected those that were family.

"I know such a feeling. I, myself, had no clue what to do with my children the first day I saw them."

They were odd things, children were, small and irritable but even one such as himself who had never really thought about having them had eventually warmed up to them. He was expecting more soon, and yet he couldn't help but shake the feeling that his own dilemma with children had not compared even slightly to the small lady's. He furrowed his brows in thought for a moment, attempting to put all the pieces together. It was a complicated matter, but one he believed himself to have a solution, or band aid, for at least.

"Perhaps you would do best learning to Heal others? As for being a warrior... I do believe I would like to personally teach you some defense. I will protect you, as will the rest of my family and our pack, but it won't hurt to have you able to defend yourself. What do you think of that?"

He raised a brow in query, his tail meekly waving behind him in an effort to seem more... joyous, he guessed. It was difficult to appear pleased when he had been told that she, a wolf so small and delicate, had been violated. He had never thought about it but now, he was aware so suddenly that he would need to keep the females especially safe during the winter months. For now, though, it was Alana he had to fret over.

"As for your learning and... safety. We have many hopeful warriors. I shall assign one to go with you and guard over you if you'd like?"

Perhaps Zeteri could make for a good match, he pondered, passing his gaze once more to the ocean. He wasn't sure how exactly to act in such a situation, whether it was better that he linger close or keep his distance. For now, he merely awaited her answer so that they might begin to move forward. That's what would be best, right? Giving her a chance to move forward with confidence.
