The girl had certainly asked the right question, a question that brought an almost scheming smile to his lips. Oh, she truly had no idea, did she? Perhaps it was because such a skill, such an apparent flaw in her own words, had not been sought out by Alphas before. The power to over think, the ability to remember so much from the past... it was valuable, an important asset. The past was filled with failures, failures he hoped to avoid at all costs. What could she do? He chuckled lightly, his brows raising before he leaned in to speak with her, bowing his head momentarily.
"I want you to overthink it all, Salem. I want you to question my judgement - to tell me what caused failure in the past, what made others disgruntled. I want you to analyse, to speculate. Do what you do but with focus."
He paused, meeting her eyes with his own, a look of sincerity splayed across his features. He had to admit, it was strange to openly give somebody the power to question him with his blessing and yet... it was a worth a shot. Glorall had an awful track record and for one to have seen it all, it meant she must have seen the small things falling into place that made it all... fall apart.
"Do you think you can do that? If you can, perhaps the two of us can keep you from ever having to watch another wolf leave here."
He smiled more broadly, his tail waving behind him - perhaps it was a big call to make, a big promise, but he was positive they could manage it if they worked together. The girl had little when it came to self esteem but she, apparently, had much to offer in the midst of her potential. Potential was enough for him. Now it was just up to her to grab the opportunity and make it her own.
