Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

an epic tale of deceit given life once more
on silver lips so spiteful

A necessary change had occurred within the girl in the previous five years of her life. It was near to this time that she had been born under the panic and bloodletting of a bear's ruthless efforts to decimate the sanctuary in which Verity had been born in; the thickly woven tangle of branches, vines, and trees ensuring that the covered abode in which her mother had been gifted would prove to be a safe place to rest and nurture their lives. But the beast was unrelenting and only by the strength of her father and the kindness of two strangers she had never been able to show gratitude to was she and her small family able to survive the onslaught. The placidity of their world was not left alone for an extended amount of time, though as she and her mother were forced from their home and into the strange land of another where she witnessed the beating and sexual abuse of her own parent. Somehow, they were able to escape, Verity being scooped into the jaws of her weary mother to return to Moladion and into the safety of her imprint; Indus. Their return had been rejoiced and yet happiness did not seem to want to linger with the broken family for longer than a day as Prae soon realized that her only son had forsaken her and wished nothing of her. It was a heartbreak for the femme whose chance at bearing children was only a meager twenty-five percent, her small litter of two were her world, her precious miracles - though born into a life more complicated than they would possibly comprehend. She loved them endlessly and in the ultimate sacrifice, she saved her only daughter from death by shielding herself with her own body during the star-fall.

This. This had changed what Verity once was. She was no longer the innocent, shy girl who cowered by her brother's side - no. Resentment consumed her whole; for the fact that her father had multiple lives, her mother gave up her life, her brother abandoned them. She was alone.. all of the things she had once loved were lost or dead. It brought an eternal pain to her soul, something so heavy that she could not imagine breaking free from it for the rest of her mortal life. It was on this day, the day of her rise from the shadows of Moladion, did she rest in the forest around the lake. It was not as thick as the woodland just beyond, yet it continued to haunt her memory with images of her past, blurred and perhaps not entirely understood as she was so very young, but haunting none-the-less. She ached for the confinement of the cupola that she had been born into, the one in which her dreams had painted pictures of, but she knew it was not there any longer. This, her dreams had shown her as well. Nothing was as it was years ago and recognition of any of her surroundings was lost. This was not her home any more so why did she remain?

It was then that her striking chartreuse and red speckled eyes caught the sudden chaos within the elk herd that had been so content just a few hundred feet away. A male, a quite large one at that, was running them down in vain. She watched with an analytical stare as he shot forward, there was something off about this male.. Ah, his tail. It was not flowing behind him at full length - it was much shorter. He would not be easily lost in a pack of many. His performance was enthralling as he dodged each kick thrown to him - though she would not exude such a thing, oh no. The slightest quirk of her lip betrayed such interest although it could not be seen from her cover in the shade of the trees. She did not aim to strike any sort of communication with this stranger, but she could not simply hold her tongue so easily. "That was quite a show, mister." Her tone was casual as she called from the shadows, her vivid eyes fixated upon him as he rested from his ouburst.
