Her words were aloof and rather unhelpful. Without names, Sinclair wasn’t sure how to help her. An older wolf might have known to sniff out a certain quality of smell, but Sin was not that experienced yet. Because of this, he was at a loss with how to respond. He wasn’t used to round about ways of things nor for having to dig for an answer. He was more naturally a direct pup, though he wasn’t beyond hope of becoming skilled with words. It would just take a lot of practice. Luckily for him, he was saved by the approached of another wolf.
One of Sin’s sensitive ears flicked backwards to catch the sound of his alpha’s paws steps. At first, Sin thought that Tesseract’s speedy approach meant that he was going to defend the territory and Sin. Upon re-evaluation, though, Sin noticed the bright smile on the female wolf’s lips. Was Tesseract her brother? Sin turned and lowered his head slightly at his teacher’s approach, not really sure why he suddenly felt so nervous. Was he supposed to be out here? He hadn’t asked permission, after all.
At Tesseract’s recognition, though, Sin’s ears perked forwards and he puffed his chest out slightly. He was very glad that his teacher approved of him, though he wasn’t sure exactly what had been approved (him being on the border, him training, or him greeting a kind-looking stranger). Sin watched Tesseract closely, trying to learn from the interaction. His leader appeared… surprised – but in tentative sort of way. It was almost like… Well, Sin wasn’t really sure, but this wasn’t a party-surprise, for sure. But then his leader assumed a dominant, but not aggressive, stance. Ah! Establish authority first.
When Tesseract introduced Sin, he straightened and stood more assertively, almost mirroring the alpha, but he didn’t raise his tail over his back. When Tesseract continued, Sin concluded that his sister had been gone for a while then. Sin tilted his head. Was this a reunion between siblings or between rivals? If they hadn’t seen each other in so long, then… why the distance between them? Sin wouldn’t involve himself in other wolves relationships though – he had to mind his own business. They were clearly happy to see each other, anyways.
“I’m excited to start my training,” Sinclair informed her when she spoke to him, but he was quiet otherwise. She was asked permission to enter, after all, and that was Tesseract’s decision for whether or not she could.
