A stronger smell greeted her nose, fresher than the one marking the border. She thumped her tail, smiling in greeting to the larger male. "Hello, Tess!" She grinned. He was very busy, as of late, the pack seeming to grow a little more with each passing day. Soon the pups would be born, and then the pack would really grow. While she couldn't do much help with the actual birthing process, she would go out to hunt for whomever was hungry or when Tess needed some help or couldn't get away due to alpha duties. She was a good enough hunter; and it wasn't like she would mind the energy burnt up by the process or the extra strain on her otherwise busy life. She lived for others, and if they needed help then she gave it to them without a second thought.
She was glad he took a position beside Chickadee for two reasons. One, Chicky was protected from both sides in case Splash made a move or Chicky didn't feel comfortable for whatever reason. Two, she had seen how jealous he had gotten at the mere mention of her little brother. How would he react if her alpha, a male who wasn't her little brother, sat next to her? She didn't want to find out. Not only could he get hurt in a fight -was she actually worrying over him?- but it could definitely damage their relationship if the wolf she brought to their borders attacked him for simply sitting by her. She returned his cocked eyebrow with a small shake of her head --signaling that he wasn't a potential threat at the moment. If he showed any signs of being one, however, she'd take him out herself. She brought him here, he was her responsibility if he so much as leaned out of line.
"He's my imprint," She informed Tess, her ears pinned back and glaring at him. She didn't expect him to know of imprints, but he'd learn soon enough. She didn't like it, and it would just add more fuel to his fire to learn that Fate had supposedly "made" them for each other. She twitched at his comment about -ahem- screaming his name, and a growl rolled out before she promptly shut up, not wanting her alpha to see her so angry. So she settled for glaring at him like he'd spontaneously catch fire if she glared hard enough. And that she wanted him to go up in flames, of course. He couldn't make this easy, now could he?
She was pleasantly surprised when he complimented Chicky, and despite herself she hated him a little less for it. She didn't know how he acted with others, and therefor she'd been afraid of what he'd do when he met her. She allowed herself a small snort at his wink, feeling bad for Chicky. Poor girl was already awkward and shy enough; the last thing she needed was a male as handsome -did she really just call him handsome?- as him wink at her, of all things.
Abruptly, however, she was back to her customary action of glaring at him. Sun to her moon? Really? Really?! The "monster to her nightmares" thing might be a little accurate, but still. At least he didn't label her the sun; she liked the moon much more. Don't get her wrong, she loved the daytime, but nothing beat star gazing with a full moon in the sky. Especially over the waves from the ledge in front of her cliff den and the scent of water and salt in her nose. "And the one I'll murder if he doesn't cut it out." She deadpanned, narrowing her eyes. Did he really have to do this in front of them? She didn't mind Chicky so much, but Tesseract? He was her alpha, for gods' sakes!
Oh great, now he wants to join...
This day could not get any worse.
