Ah, of course she had been short with her words - should he have expected anything else from her? Though he'd not spent that much time in Iromar during Baphomet's rule, he had quickly picked up on their unusual methods of displaying rank. In Iromar, he would have been smirked at for speaking to his subordinate as he did Rogue. He often wondered how things worked with such a culture - how often did they gather only to stand about silently? Baffling, yes, but irrelevant for now. They were no longer in Iromar or under such rules, and he had no doubt Rogue understood that well and truly. Besides, it had been easy to notice the distinctive lack of Iromar's scent on her the day she had come to Glorall. She was no longer part of that, and neither was he. This was new territory.
"You are right. Besides, I often hear of their Queen being quite quick to forgive."
He paused, taking his seat beside her with a flick of his tail. For some time, he merely watched out across the waters through narrowed eyes, trying his hardest to see whether or not they could catch movement from such a distance. Eventually, he would need to at least approach Diveen though... he was hesitant in regards to a try alliance. If they attracted war, he did not necessarily wish to be pulled into it. Regardless as to who instigated such an attack... the potential repercussions were too great. Still, he maintained a quiet respect for Isola. For what it was worth, they did do a good job at luring many into their clutches. He smiled to himself, shaking his head slowly - perhaps he'd need to go and learn from her after all.
"This leaves me to question, however, once again - why here? Do you not enjoy the company of the others that make their home here?"
He cocked his head and raised a brow, twisting his neck to watch her with an amused grin. An odd wolf but no doubt a proficient one at that. The mere fact that Rogue had survived not only the war but the injuries sustained during was a testament to her physical success at least. True, she did manage to leave Iromar seemingly without negative repercussion, as had he and Caligula. A curious wolf, a wolf whose silence no longer baffled him but rather caught his interest. He'd never quite worked out why the girl, Zeteri, had been so interested in her though. It seemed a lot were interested in her. He chuckled low beneath his breath as he moved to once more watch the waters, an ear twisted towards her in case she decided to speak.
"You are an asset, Rogue. I can only hope that I can persuade you to seek greatness here."
No use simply allowing her to fester at the bottom of the hierarchy, no?
