News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

Indeed, he had found himself becoming quite fond of the boy, Tristan, during their journey. If anything, the boy had a certain tenacity for learning. It was useful to say the least, if not refreshing to see another dedicated to the cause of... intelligence. Octavia, too, seemed to get along with the child - another redeeming quality, really. Of course, his children were exceptional in his eyes and their mother's eyes, but it never hurt to have them associate with good influences, particularly those that played with the mind rather than simply using their teeth. Depending on the outcome of such an outing, perhaps he would best discuss matters with Enigma - her son could go far in life, he was sure. Still, a mother was right in all things pertaining to their children and thus, she would need to be addressed before he decided to take the boy further on board. Such thoughts had kept his mind occupied before the sound of Alcide's own voice rung out - ah, they would have their company soon enough. He could only pass a glance to both Octavia and Tristan in an attempt to reassure them.

Soon enough, he watched as the larger male's form moved down the slope of the mountain. It was a bitter reminder of his failure so long ago and yet, refreshing to see that the male had indeed kept his throne regardless of the challengers that had come after Tesseract. If nothing more, Alcide was certainly a formidable opponent. He watched the male's approach with a small smile, his tail waving some thrice behind him before his gaze shifted to the smaller female that moved along side him. Their was familiarity in the girl, her relation to Alcide clear enough for him to assume that she was - perhaps? - a daughter, or granddaughter even. He figured she had come for the same reason Tristan and Octavia had come with him. She had surely come to learn and learn they should. As both she and Alcide stopped before them, he motioned to both Tristan and Octavia, encouraging them forward to perhaps speak with their peer. They had come with peace on their mind, so why not extend such peace to a generation below them?

"It suits you well, too, Alcide. I have heard the rumors that another had come to try and usurp you. Congratulations on your victory, though it comes as little surprise."

He bowed his head momentarily, breaking eye contact before rising to meet levelly once more. Flattery, perhaps, but still not without a merit or two of truth. Alcide could take such comments in whichever way he preferred, but it was a confirmation (at least) that Tesseract had not come with malicious intent. Instead, he was actually quite thankful the older male retained his position as the mountain's leader. It meant he was reliable, steadfast, a seemingly unshakable force and truly... that was exactly what Glorall needed to associate with. They'd been unstable for too long and with luck, forming some form of alliance with Spirane would hopefully better secure the trust of those that dwelt by the sea.

With any luck, both the children would have taken it upon themselves to introduce themselves during such a moment of silence. Tesseract did not wish to undermine their presence by becoming their voice - they needed to be independent and confident if they were to succeed in any path they chose. That much was true, and even if they were young, he expected no less. It was pertinent that they move onto business quickly, however. Tesseract had seldom been the one for small talk and this was no exception - he imagined Alcide would have to agree with the sentiment. Time was a valuable resource, particularly come spring, and even more especially when you had the livelihood of a pack to cater to. Clearing his throat quietly, he begun, his voice cool and self assured.

"We have come with earnest intentions - an intention most simple, in fact. Indeed, Glorall has been procured by none other than myself. We are a humble pack in numbers at this point but we are all eager to learn, to strengthen ourselves and our morale."

He paused, his lips taut and eyes bright with excitement before he continued, his lips pulling into a small grin.

"For that reason, I have come to you in hopes of sowing the seeds of trust and alliance. I have come to respect you as a leader, and I believe we have much to learn from Spirane and much that we can give back, be it now or in the future."

He silenced then, allowing Alcide the time he needed to ponder such things. It was a risky operation no matter how Tesseract looked at it. Diveen had made their alliances due to their numbers - they had much to offer on the giving side of things, as did Spirane. However, Glorall had much they needed to take at this point and little to give besides from their pledge of alliance and the bounty of the sea side - strange healing plants, the cleansing salt water and the unusual prey that came from the ocean. It was just a matter of whether or not Alcide could see reason, and Tesseract had hopes most great that things would go well.
