Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Despite Catalina's beauty, she had always been a very modest girl. Quite unlike her sister, who enjoyed dishing out rumors and drawing attention to herself, Catalina preferred to lay low and take life a little slower. She did not in any way look down upon Shimza -- quite the contrary, Cat adored and respected her sister, and often lost herself in pride and admiration when she thought of Shimza. It was simply that Catalina had always been very mellow and soft-spoken. She took to her role as an older sister with grace and poise, as she took to everything in her life.

Catalina nodded demurely, her smile beaming happily. "Oh, certainly," Cat agreed. "It has been about three years since I saw you last." She pretended to have difficulty recollecting the last occasion she had seen Shimza, but the reality was that she remembered it vividly. Her deep love for her younger sister far surpassed what she let on; she could remember every detail about the meeting, as it was something she often reflected on.

Seeing her sister in the flesh again made the blonde wolf's heart swell with joy. She gazed adoringly at her sister as the younger female spun in a circle, hardly able to believe that they were finally together again after such a long time. Of all the family members Catalina had left behind, missing Shimza had hurt the deepest. She had always been close to her younger sister -- and though Shimza wasn't always aware of the fact, Catalina had a habit of looking out for her.

Shimza began circling Catalina, eyeing her from every angle. Until that moment, Cat had completely forgotten about her atrociously unplucked tail -- but the realization was far too late, and by the time she attempted to sweep her tail shyly to one side, Shimza had already pounced on it.

She laughed a little, fond of the nickname her sister had given her long ago -- but really, she was quite mortified to be seen by a family member with an unplucked tail, especially when the fur had refused to grow back in any seemly fashion. "Oh, ah, yes," her soft voice fluttered with embarrassment. "Trying to keep a low profile, you know?" She shook her head, smiling blushingly up at her sister through her lashes. "It never really grew back right."
