Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

THE HERE AND NOWALPHA OF GLORALL

When we had first arrived, I had assessed the area and determined that at face value as a safe place to wait for the alpha of Glorall to arrive. Although Isola did not expect any form of hostility shown towards our appearance, it was my job to be prepared for the worst. Even so, I let myself relax as we quietly sat. When Fathom settled in beside me, I offered her a smile before resuming my slow and steady surveying of the area. My warm brown eyes, flecked with amber throughout, keenly looked for any movement to signal the approach of the alpha or any other pack members.

When the light hued male appeared, my ears pressed forward and my eyes trained upon him as he approached. His posture spoke of his position in the pack, and Isola rose to match it. I, however, remained sitting. My gaze left the alpha male as he drew nearer, searching behind him to see if anyone had accompanied him. It would seem he had come alone. When he came to stand before our small gathering, I fought the urge to rise to my paws. This was a non-threatening meeting, and having a relaxed posture would show our faith – Isola’s faith – in a peaceable exchange. When he offered a nod in greeting, I responded in kind and dipped my head.

Tesseract, Isola called him. And when she introduced myself and Fathom I again nodded my head in acknowledgement before resuming my surveying gaze. One darkly trimmed ear remained trained on Tesseract, while my eyes roamed the land that was visible behind Tesseract’s form. While the primary purpose of my wandering gaze was to have first sights upon any other wolf that chose to approach, I also found the land to be quite diverse by comparison to Diveen and thought it best to familiarize myself with what I could see of it in case I ever needed to return here on business. The audit closest to the two leaders then flicked towards Isola as she spoke to Tesseract, explaining why they were there and what she wished for a relationship between Diveen and Glorall. When she had finished, both my ears and eyes returned to Tesseract – though not seeking his gaze – merely interested to hear his response to her proposition.
