Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

AT NIGHT I FEEL LIKE A VAMPIRE -- Fathom

This was as close as he knew he should get. Just outside the borders and a little to the side in order to settle among the foliage. Yet the scents had lingered here. Not just Fathom's, but Malina's, too. Right now it was not Malina that he intended to see, however. He wanted to see Fathom, wanted news of her, of their pups. Wanted to know if they were okay, if leaving had been a mercy for them, or if it had been pointless. The idea of it having been pointless plagued him, but it was possible. He had been raised normally, and it wasn't until near maturity that the bloodlust had come out all on it's own with no one to teach him. It had been a time of hiding and guilt for Covet, but he had managed.

To this day he hoped that his parents did not know. Though when he thought of his parents, it wasn't Jaidah who gained the label of mother; it was Enigma. The masked female had been there for him, even if hesitant. That was a mother, not just someone who had a little fun and popped pups out. That did not a mother make. Covet firmly believed that. Maybe he didn't outright hate Jaidah for ditching him -- she probably had a reason for it, and maybe it was a good one -- but he could not think too fondly of her. She had never come back for him, never explained a thing. Cobryn hadn't really known either way, but Covet knew there were ideas on the matter of what it could have been. Not a big deal, now.

And he was trying to make up for leaving, though he wasn't certain as to how much he cared. Enough to want to give them a fighting chance against seeing what he was and following in his pawprints, but.. he had never knew him, and he did not feel the same need to connect as his father had. Wanting those things too much only made it worse; always worse. Covet was not going to fall into that hole. No, he would find a happy medium, or he would find something that he liked better. Either way, it was time to wait, to see when or if Fathom would pass the borders from Diveen. He was waiting, though if she were to come out... he would show himself and see how she reacted.
