What could be better than spending the summer on a waterfront?
Well, maybe Glorall's beaches might have trumped this. But there was a certain tension that surrounded that pack ever since Tesseract had taken it over. After the last time he had been there, his first time, he was cautious about going back too soon.
But what about Riopat?
His delicate little angel, Riopat had been traveling alongside him ever since he walked her home that first day to find out that her pack had been taken by a new alpha. Avoiding the turmoil that followed new rule had probably been a good idea. But did she want to go back? He hadn't asked. Part of him was worried that, if she did, she would stay and he would have to choose between her or the freedom he loved so much.
It wasn't really a choice... How could he ever leave her?
Speaking of that beauty, she was around somewhere. Probably not far off. Much as Ra's couldn't stand the idea of distance between them, he had always lived a life free of restriction and wasn't about to be a hypocrite.
She would come back. Until then, he would beat the afternoon heat in the shallows of the Alpos River. Laying in the cool waters only a few feet from the reeded riverbank, his midnight coat glistened in the sunlight as he narrowed his spring green eyes out over the pleasant vista. He was beginning to grow a bit hungry but thought it might be best to wait for his angel's return.
Ah, well. Waiting wasn't something he particularly enjoyed, but she was something worth waiting for... and at least it was beautiful weather.
and I've been doing just fine
