Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

A burst of colour out of the corner of his eye has Emry's attention dragged away from the pool at his large paws. Quick not to snap his head up, the boy is slowly glancing in that general direction with a keen curiosity. What he sees has him holding his breath. She's older than him but not very much so- perhaps only a year. And where he is dark and molten silver- she is dark and molten gold. The russet of her coat is like a highlight to the contrast, and her graceful frame and slender legs has him suddenly self conscious. She has yet to notice him, but that doesn't mean a thing. Emry knew it was only a matter of time until she did. And what would she see? A young, gangly wolf still growing into his frame and filling out. He felt shy and he did not quite know why, as it was never him to be such a thing, but he remained where he was. He didn't move from his spot, and he wouldn't, even after she noticed him. And when those seemingly ice blue irises of hers finally found him, she paused and he was afraid she would bolt.

He wanted to step forward and call out to her, to get her to stay, but as he couldn't currently find his voice he remained quiet. And that was all that needed to happen, for molten irises observed her movements. While at first she had drawn back and turned away, seemingly wishing to take her leave, she was then turning back to gaze at him, tilting her head. And then like a miracle she is moving forward and Emry sighs heavily, releasing the breath he wasn't aware he was holding. She is on the other side of the pond from him, but even from that distance he can see her tail wagging ever so slightly as she watched him. Her gaze is weary and this he can approve of- they are strangers, after all. And yet, when the breeze shifts and carries her scent across the water to him, he feels himself instantly relaxing. Diveen. She smells of Diveen and everything that comes with it. Perhaps of wolves he does not know personally, but has known them in passing. It is a large pack, after all- the biggest in all of Moladion.

She finally came to rest about five yards away from him, and when all he did was gaze upon her in return, she seemed to relax herself and her face lightened up. The marks upon her features were something Emry had never seen before and he found her both beautiful and exotic. But again- he felt shy for whatever reason and so his voice still did not come forth. But there was also something that made him not feel the need to actually talk. It was further heightened when she dropped down into a play bow with her tail wagging behind her. She's then yipping at him, and it's almost as if all other thoughts but of her and playing slip away. Dropping down low to the ground himself, with his rump in the air, he's answering her yip with a short one of his own, before swatting the ground with his right front paw. Emry wasn't one too keen to really romp with the other young ones of Diveen, but with this unknown wolf he would play any day.

Within a few short moments, it felt as if the lonliness of the past season had lifted and was a thing of the past. This enchanting stranger had brightened his world like he had never known possible and made him feel at ease. He didn't know who she was, but he did know they came from the same place, and that had to mean something. Wagging his long tail of black fur, he gave her a few more yips before springing from his spot and moving off to the right, around the shore which would intially bring him closer to her. He did not think she would mind, after all, she had invited him to play and he was loathe to decline. A dance with a pretty soul was something he could never turn down.
