A curious trail drew him in, drew him close. It caused him to do something he probably shouldn't have done; walk right past the borders and into the pack at hand. Paw. A familiar scent had lured him ever further into the pack, and he was actually excited to see Enigma. The only one he really considered a mother, though she wasn't blood, nor was she the most willing to take up motherhood when he'd been brought to her. She'd still done it, somehow. And maybe she'd been lacking in it, but Covet wouldn't have noticed at all. He had adored Enigma as a mother, and that was it. He had hidden his nature from her, kept her from knowing that something was so wrong. From letting either her or Cobryn from knowing that Jaidah's blood had run strong enough to twist him into something this place would call a demon. His eyes had always been a tally against him, though.
He was clean of blood after a bath in the river, of which he was grateful, since smell would have said it wasn't prey animals adorning his fur, but the blood of other wolves. Too much for a proper fight. It wasn't there now, though. Gone, cleaned and carried away by cool, rushing water. He moved with a slow, fluid grace to his pace, though he was trying to give off a friendly vibe. He wasn't sure he had one of those, but he was giving a wave of his tail -- slightly, but still -- and trying not to look like the snake he was. Just in case someone came up to him that thought he shouldn't be here. His intentions weren't bad, however. A visit to his mother-not mother was all. It had been awhile since he'd seen her, and it was his fault. He had been avoidant. Mostly because he wasn't sure if he was still being hunted, since going into a pack that might gang up on him was never the most intelligent thing to do.
Today he could take the risk for Enigma. Would take that risk. Did take it. Which brought him closer and closer to the scent of the female, though he could soon enough tell she wasn't alone. He paused when some paces away to look at them, watch them for a moment. Then he started to move again at a slow, calm pace and that same slight sway of his tail behind him. He gave a happy sounding greeting to Enigma, and something a little more uncertain to the younger one, and halted a few feet from the pair with a nod given to both before his gaze landed again on Enigma. "Thought I'd come say hi, see how you're doing... I know it's been awhile, and I'm sorry. Got caught up and all...." He blinked, glanced around. "Is dad still hanging about? I couldn't detect a trail, but I figured he'd became a lazy bum by now." Flippant words, but only because he didn't know. He hadn't a clue.
