Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens

She smiled down at him as he rolled the small ball back into the parcel, putting it perfectly back in it's rightful place, she pulled the corners closer to the center to be easier to grab when she did pick it back up again. He looked oddly familiar to her, had he been one of her wards when she had been here? no, he had a mother, now she remembered him, Sinclair "thank you very much, Sinclair right?" she asked her pumpkin spice eyes alight with hidden mirth as she smiled down at him. She watched him sniff the air, like he had been looking for something, then his neck stretched to carry his head within a few inches of Ever and she tilted her head to the side slightly as his eyes grew wide in realisation, something at any rate had brought him out this way and he seemed to finally understand it. Was it her?

Soon though he frowned and began to apologize and explained himself, that he was tracking prey and it turned out to be her, a soft peel of laughter rose from her throat, kind laughter not the kind that pushed others back down on the ground, Ever was a very kind and understanding wolf when she didn't feel threatened. "It's perfectly alright Sinclair, I did that a few times with my own father when I was your age" she said with a smile and a twinkle in her eye as she watched him. He soon lit up though, like a light bulb had clicked on. He reminded her of Pan slightly in this way, when he thought up an idea it seemed like something had just clicked. He asked if she would teach him or atleast help him learn to track and hunt. Well, that didn't seem like to odd of a request from a youngster.

"Well..." she said as he tilted his head and looked at her with those adorable puppy eyes, all wide and pleading, she'd never been able to say no to such eyes. After all, she had told Vidar she'd be back as soon as possible, if she stayed to long he might think Tess or Cali had attacked her, she didn't want this... but what would hurt a bit of play hunting. She hadn't seen either of the alpha's when she'd snuck into Glorall, and hadn't she seen her favorite burrow for hunting bunnies on the way here? yes, that was where she was supposed to turn left! "I suppose I could help you out, just a little though." She said with a smile as she gathered up her parcell and turned away from him, "come I'll show you my favorite hunting grounds, it's just on the other side of the boarder of Glorall" she said speaking between her teeth as she tried to hold the package together and talk at the same time hopefully they could get there before the alpha's showed up.

She wasn't a big wolf and any hopes of taking either of them on by herself was out of the question, she trotted some ways ducking between dead tree's and hills of sand until she came upon the spot where the forest became thicker and the susil crags where on the very outskirts of Glorall. This is where she used to take Mortz to train him in hunting and tracking. Before they got to close to the bunny holes she let her package down on the ground in a safe spot and then turned to Sinclair. It wouldn't be hard for the boy to find the bunnies themselves and if he'd already been here before he'd know what he was looking for. But it was a scent memory that had to be built up, it had to be told what it was looking for. "Wait here a moment" she dashed off into the brush and after a few moments of a skuffle brought back a small bunny and laid it down.

"First thing to always remember, is know your prey. This is a small bunny, there are many of them around this area and in spring their population explodes all over Moladion, their the easiest thing to find, but their quiet hard to actually obtain if you can't keep your focus. Today, we'll focus on getting the scent recognised to memory." She kept an eye on the sun to make sure she was tracking it correctly and could return to Vidar and Tav without being to late.

I was thinking, we'll go a couple more posts here, and then we'll move their sessions to the fields for the next time. He can feel free to ask her if she's still living in Glorall if he wants xD
