aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

destan

Booming lyrics pierced the sky like a fork of lighting in the storm not long passed; so similar in fact that it caused the young brute to quiver beneath his cushioning fur. It was a song that he had heard not so long ago and even then it was filled with sorrow and anguish, emotions that forced the pup so far into the dark abyss that lurked within his soul, that he screamed and squeaked for the company of his mother, sister or anybody that could provide the slightest bit of comfort. All of his family had seemingly disappeared causing the brute to regress into himself. Fears of being left alone, abandoned, again were all too fresh and painful but this time Destan was determined to fight for those who loved him; despite the urge to lie down and never get back up. His quest took him over the terra, through the heart of the land that he now called home. With each step came silence, and more silence and yet again silence. It appeared to Destan, in his young and naive brain, that the whole pack had deserted him and for moments his chest began to close, causing his breathing to become harsh and raspy. More whimpers slithered from his throat as his forest green orbs darted frantically over the vicinity. It was all too quiet and empty.

For a few moments Destan sat in the bushes, trying to calm the anxious demons that threatened to force their way through to the surface. But the broken monster was back, shouting for the ones who could soothe his soul and soon enough footsteps seemed to close in around him causing his limbs to crumple beneath him, dragging him to the floor in an attempt to look smaller and innocent. Figures rushed by, including one that was familiar to him. Part of the young boy felt relieved that he hadn’t been abandoned yet it appeared that all of them were heading in the same direction and despite his better judgment the pup shakily pushed through the bushes and after the black vixen he knew as Leila. Something must have been dreadfully wrong and the pup couldn’t help but worry for his new family.

Soon enough, the small, aching and extremely stressed, boy approached the borders scenting who had gathered before even seeing them. His smaller frame fit nicely within the foliage meaning that for now he could stay hidden but see everything. Lanterns surveyed the surroundings taking in the scene that lay before him. There was the monster; a crying female; Kal and his daughter; Magic; Leila; another black female; his mother and... ”Khaleesi!” The pup tumbled from the bush in a frantic way, landing squarely under his mother, who looked poised and ready to attack. Words shot back and forth like claps of thunder, hurting his ears and making them fold on top of his head. His eyes remained on his sister who was pinned beneath the giant paw of the one who lay behind the border and his heart flipped. Red mist clouded the edges of his vision as his anxiety hit peak level and he found that he could hardly breathe.
