Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

it will be too late when you see me

It didn’t seem all that long since he had left these lands. He had spend many nights making his way to his birth home. Trenus. He missed his home and everyone there his brothers and sister, his mother and father. Everything. Sure he never amounted to much but a trouble maker, and Amutaq had to admit that still he probably wouldn’t be what Malina could be. He had his father’s blood, but not the drive to kill and fight like he did. His father had taught him how to fight and he found the sport exciting but killing? Now that did not interest him in the slightest. He always wondered why Mal had chosen the path to be an assassin, but when you were chosen by the king of Trenus yourself to be trained, Amutaq guessed you didn’t ask questions. Time passed though and Amutaq guessed he was more like his father than he thought. Perhaps it was that inward instinct that caused him to wander away from Moladion suddenly.

But things seemed different. Amutaq wandered across the lands, his swirled emerald and golden gaze running over the fields with wonder. Fear clutched him as she noticed the sights and smells also were very different than that he remembered. Trenus… Was gone? No mountains were found in the area he was wandering, his gaze moving over the forest covered hills. How could mountains just… Vanish? His heart nearly died in his chest at this realization that everything he knew and what made him come back was gone. He had no home anymore. For years Amutaq wandered lands beyond Moladion always knowing he could come back and know that everyone would be there. His father who always seemed to go wandering off always came back to his mother; his sister was dutifully training under Heyel. With Trenus gone though where did they go?

How did this happen? He had heard the bright ball of fire had fallen far away from where he was at the time, but he had never thought about it being here. All of these change it only made sense that the fire ball had fallen here. Of all his years of mindlessly wandering lands he never felt as lost as he did at that moment as he stood where Trenus used to be located. Where all the packs gone? Was everyone… dare he think it. Dead?

He had been alone and happy wondering for all these years just because he knew he could always gone back. Amu was beginning to think perhaps he was living too carefree. He never thought that the anchors of his life would actually be gone. Amutaq had choices to make and he wasn’t sure where they would lead. Anywhere but here.

He walked over the plains that used to be where Trenus was, eyes scanning and trying to figure out what was next for him in Moladion. He could restart here, try to get over his wandering ways and cling to what was left of his birth lands. There was nothing else for him to do, just restart and try to find his missing pieces.
you will blink
and I'll be gone
