Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

There had been so much about him that she simply could not seem to fathom - the brooding, the strange glisten behind his eyes, the way he strayed from the others, the everything really. Still, she was not deterred by such unknowing and in fact, found herself almost drawn in by the whole notion of simply not understanding him. Sure, others had set by the wayside during her display of aquatic skills and yet... he was absolutely different to them. From the unusual hue of his fur, to the blackness of his eyes and a height that she couldn't help but smile over (how uncommon to find a male who didn't tower over her by some foot and a half!)... she just couldn't decide whether she was drawn to him as a mother was drawn to care for those that seemed trapped in despair, or if some other part of her demanded that she be close to him. Whatever it was, she could hardly ignore or suppress it; as if by their own will, her paws took her right there, squarely before him with tilted head and all.

The moment he spoke, though, it seemed her assumptions had been entirely correct - he was an oddity, through and through. He spoke, and she simply stood, seemingly dumbfounded for a moment before she frowned, seemingly puffing up slightly in embarrassment.

"I was just implying that you could come closer to us all, and that you had no reason to be hiding back here all by yourself."

She huffed, her tail twitching in apparent agitation - all the while, she felt her stomach flop about in nervousness and her paws shuffle awkwardly beneath her. Despite the boy's apparent... rudeness? Was that it? She wasn't sure if it was rude but nonetheless, despite it, she still desired to stay, even if she half expected more brash words. It had been nothing like she had expected - even with him being so broody looking, she hadn't expected to here the voice of a safe come out of a boy who hardly looked old enough to be considered an adult. Still, she found herself smiling all the same in the last ditch effort to draw him in closer to the gathering and his response was met with an even broader grin; despite their rather off putting start, he was smiling. She was glad. She was glad to see the radiance of it, perhaps even a little awe struck as her head tilted from left to right, her eyes bright with eagerness. Perhaps, she thought, the idea that others might enjoy his company had sunk in. Perhaps he was smiling because he too wanted to meet the others - slowly, her tail waved, hoping it to be correct but then... more words from the boy and instantly, she frowned once more, her ears flickering back and a brow raising.

Before she could get a word in though, he was suddenly so very close to her - her own eyes opened in shock, her mouth falling into an 'o' once more as she merely stuttered over no word in particular. Usually, she would have recoiled, stumbling back over her own feet in an effort to return to a comfortable distance and yet, her paws simply refused to do so. In fact, she felt her heart quicken at his approach but not in nervousness - excitement, perhaps? It was unusual, and not something she had ever experienced before. Even when Faol'an had done so, she had felt nervousness, but now... she felt calmness, seemingly at peace with the male finally being so close. All she could do was stand there, blinking slowly and repetitively over um.

If she had been confused then, then certainly she was utterly dumbfounded when he spoke once more. A seizure!? Instantly, she went into action, shaking her own confusion away with a panic stricken look - oh my! She'd forgotten her herbs and plants! She usually took them everywhere but having left Spirane, she figured she wouldn't need them! Frantically, she searched about them, peering back into the shadows and back to the shoreline in some desperate attempt to find something that would work. How did one even cure a seizure? She'd never experienced one, and neither had anybody around her. Then, he started speaking about her head and ears and... everything got lost track of. She stumbled over her paws as she tried to leave to find something and once more stared up at him, totally and completely confused.

"My head? I, uh, well... we shouldn't be worrying about my head!"

She shook herself once more, shuffling closer as she began to nudge at his ears, muzzle, anything she could - what symptoms was he displaying? There seemed to be no drool, and his ears were impeccably clean and... his eyes were so... well, she stopped, staring into them for a moment before stepping back, uncertain once again.

"I... I can't see your symptoms. I don't know how to treat a seizure. Maybe you should lie down? Do you need water? Here -" she moved in a flash, coming to stand beside him and leaning into the softness of his fur, "Lean against me. I'll get you to the water, okay?"

Maybe she was having a seizure too, for hardly a single thought in her head made any sense at this point. It was purely her desire to help that drove her, or so she thought at least.
