Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

She smells the crisp a breeze from the shade where she was laying with her new found friend, it tells her that fall is here and will be following soon after winter, for a loner winter is a harsh season with more dangers than the rest. She always has managed to do fine during it though, her fur meant the perfect camouflage in the snowy season, but despite that being alone during it still has tons of risk. Winter is still her favorite season with the fun white powder on the ground known as snow, though she is willing to admit liked summer because the heat gave her reason to indulge in her love for the water.
‘so Niviaq had been looking for a home for 3 years before finding the mountain pack known as Spirane, that’s about how long I have been without a pack for.' Spirit thinks to herself, the other had told her that she understands, it is starting to sound as if she and Niviaq have faced many similar trails.
She watches her friend’s face light up answering her question regarding water, and then continues to ask if Spirit herself enjoys it.
“I have to agree there is nothing better than a nice long swim during the warm months, I learned to swim a really long time ago; I was taught to swim as soon as I could walk, it was a tradition that tried to get the young to at least like the water, but I was difficult to get out once I was in, because I enjoyed it so much. I feel like it connects all of us and when I’m alone I thrive on that connection.” She says flashing an impish smirk towards her friend, happy that it seemed to lighten the topic.
As she lays there her white tipped tail now wagging casually, only just noticing Niviaq’s soft whine of eagerness towards the water. Secretly smiling to herself, Spirit watches the older she wolf try to get a better look at the water without moving from spot where she laid; of course it wasn’t the clearest water but with the later summer, early fall rains the water level raised well above the muddy bottom. Spirit fully listens as Niviaq tells her of her pack, in which she speaks really highly of the territory remarking that it sounds a lot like Spirit’s birth place, leader who was strong and honorable, and the other members who are kind; she says her home was like a slice of heaven and from what she has heard, Spirit couldn’t agree more. What comes next slightly surprises her as Niviaq asks her, if Spirit would like her to bring her to the territory, as she paws at Spirit playfully; reassuring Spirit that her pack had plenty of food. Now normally if any other wolf had asked her to come to their territory Spirit would have high tailed it out of there fast, but Niviaq was nice and welcoming and to be honest she couldn’t find any logical reason to turn her down.
‘Why not, what harm could it do? Besides I would enjoy sending more time and getting to know Niviaq a better’
“Well as long as it isn’t a burden to you would happily come along.” Spirit said, happily pawing back at Niviaq.“But first…. Want to go for a swim?” she said mischievously, angling her head towards the creek.
