Nootau’s ears perked forwards in surprise as the she-pup’s squeak of fear. He had a true talent at scaring the ladies, huh? He had scared the tar out of Celeste the other day, and now this little pup. Who else could he add to that list? Maybe he would try to see how many wolves he could sneak up on; it was extremely entertaining. Nootau grinned widely. Oh yes, his knew prank was planned! Now all he needed to do was find a target. For now, though, he returned his attention to the little pup before him.

“Ooh,” Nootau dragged the syllable out, and rolled his eyes to the side as if he were seriously considering the mistake she said he had made. He returned his eyes to her with a playful smile on his lips, “My apologies, Lady Flicka. You were so small and cute that mistook you.” His eyes glowed mischievously and he winked at her playfully.

“Sure, you can call me Tau,” Nootau nodded and continued in a teasing sort of way, “If I can call you just Flicka, M’lady.” Nootau’s tail wagged behind him, uncontrolled. He was delighted to have met another friend! He was getting to know so many wonderful, fun wolves here. It was a wonder he had never thought of leaving his old pack sooner! Well, actually, it was because he had never known that he had had the option, but whatever. He was here now and happy to be.
