Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Sinclair
Then the Strongest Heart Grows Old
Sin was much too enthusiastic about his trip with Sinopa to respond to her information to him about the way the tide worked. He, did, however, marvel inwardly at the amazing tasks nature could do all by itself. He wondered why the sea wanted to keep this small place secret for only those who knew of it. Sinclair’s ears flattened out to the side of his head sadly at Selena’s story. He had heard of imprints since his birth, and now that he was getting older, he knew (but did not yet understand) that the loss of one’s soul mate was more painful than anything. Sin blinked in looked at his mom. Where was her imprint? Did she loose him? Sin quickly looked away, unwilling to ask that of her. He didn’t want to talk with his mom about subjects that were painful to her, at least, not until he had need too.

Instead, Sin commented, “ Nullam purus illa, qua dixerat eam.” I hope she’s okay, wherever she ended up.

It seemed odd to him, though, that the island should be named after a wolf long gone. Why not name it “Sinopa’s Island,” since she was the only one that he knew visited it. But, as Sin ponder he decided that maybe it was simply tradition. The founders of something were honored by having it named for them. Sin yawned, and slowed to a trot next to Sinopa. It took much longer than he had expected to cross the bridge, and by the end of it his paws were being lapped by the tide. When the island with its great trees came into view, Sinclair darted forwards with new found energy or maybe relief. He didn’t want the sea to swallow him up!

“ Momma! Mihi dabis lacum senex?” Momma! Can you show me your old den? Sin asked upon running up to one of the huge trees and putting his paws on it. He was looking up into the tree, as if waiting to glimpse a mystical creature in the canopy. When nothing occurred in the first few seconds, Sin lowered himself to all four paws again and returned to his mother’s side, “Volo audire de historia huc!” I want to hear all about the history here!

There was so much to learn about the secret island and he wanted to know every last detail! Especially about how his mother came to be here. In fact, he was even curious about his extended family that largely populated Diveen and why his mom left them and why they never attempted to visit him. He wasn’t sore on the issue, but he was curious as to why Sinopa had wanted to be isolated from her family because Sin found himself never wanting to leave Lamar and Sinopa behind. He wanted to make sure they were connected always and that his brother and mother were well protected. So, he was more exploring a different opinion because he didn’t understand it and he very much wanted to understand Sinopa to her completion.
