and fishnets and malice

Harridan yawned and licked her lips of the leftovers that Abraxus has left for her. She wasn't above scavenging, she was distinctly a loner wolf. The only time she had ever thought of joining a pack and meteor had hit shortly afterwards. Harridan had taken that as an omen, proof that her life was meant to be lived without allegiance and without a steady place to call home. She and Virago had traveled around for awhile before her pink-eyed daughter decided to explore on her own. Harridan could hardly blame her, she had left her own mother around the same age. Perhaps that desire to survive on her own had been passed down or perhaps Harridan had managed to teach her daughter how to survive. Either way, she held no hard feelings towards Virago for wanting to make her own way in this great big world of theirs. As for Harridan, well, she ditched Virago's father, and headed back towards Moladion. She wanted to see what happened after the meteor. She wanted to see just who--if any, of the wolves she had known had survived. Most hadn't. But one, one who was rather dear to her sarcastic little heart had survived and for the moment that was enough.

As she nosed through the carcass of the boar, she found little to be appetizing and she was more than full. While the boar had been delicious, she couldn't help but to compare it to rabbit. Still she got up, stretched and covered what little remained with some leaves. Who knew, maybe she'd come pick over the bones again later tonight. Then again, maybe she'd find something or someone to keep her occupied. She knew better than to attach herself like velcro to Abraxus. He had a temper and to be honest, she figured he was always keeping some sort of tab on her. Sorta the way Caius did. Then again, Harridan was always keeping some sort of tab on him now that she knew he was back. It was sick, twisted obsession but Harridan had never denied herself any sort of whim. Why should she? She was a creature of gluttony. Any of desire she had, she fulfilled it. She had survived all of her decisions thus far and though her body had scars that littered the skin beneath her thickening fur, she was none the worst for wear.

Through the woods she spied to giants amid wolves. She thought about just slinking past unseen and unnoticed but the eyes of the female caught her attention. That hot pink. Was she related to Caius? After ditching him, Harridan did occasionally miss him. After all, he was the father of Virago and that meant that he meant something to her. She approaches the two giants, her trot bouncy and light hearted. She had a full stomach, nothing could kill her buzz. "Hey there giants! Decided to throw a party and not invite me? For shame! You know, parties are super lame without me." She glanced at their faces, and noted that the bone structures were nothing similar to Caius. Ah well, just as well. No need to stir up old ghosts. She noticed that neither seemed all that forthcoming with any information whatsoever, thus, she decided to prompt this little meeting. Get the party started! "I'm Harridan. Who might be you two?" Her tail waved at a decent height and her ears pricked forward but the stance was relaxed. She had no hidden agenda, and no pompous attitude to make anyone bow down to her. And yet, she would bow down to no one. Even Abraxus would have a hard time pinning her down for long. Good thing Winter was coming up quick upon them.
