aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Trying to Forget the Past, This Was Never Meant to Last

Emptiness filled the femme’s ebony chest. A cold, hard emptiness. Sadness, depression, loneliness, despair; these words didn’t accurately describe the pain that filled her, consumed her, tore her apart. Her mate, her love, the one that completed her, was gone. No word left with anyone of where he had gone. The fae wandered aimlessly around the territory of their home…her home. She had no idea if he was ever coming back but she knew she would never be whole again until he was by her side. Tears threatened to spill from her once bright yellow eyes, but she would not let herself cry. She needed a distraction, someone, something, anything. The drama with the wolf that Kal had let in had been a good distraction for a while; the prince of Malignant Felicity kidnapping one of Aurora’s pups adding to it all. Chenzii had been able to consume herself in her duties with her pack for a while there, but things had greatly died down since. She knew that Kalgalath had left to defend the terra against a challenging wolf and she worried for her alpha, but she was distracted. Anxiety for her missing mate consumed her mind.

While Chenzii was curled up, alone in the den she had once shared with Chiron, she heard a call from her leader, he must be back from the fight. Normally she would spring to her paws and race to Kalgalath to make sure he was okay and not injured too badly, but she was slower than normal, her heart and soul aching, holding her back. She did rise though, shaking dust and dirt from her pelt as she exited her den, ears perked to determine where exactly the alpha had called from. She made her way through the terra, letting the scent of Kalgalath lead her to where he had called from. Her steps were slower, dragging her along, forcing her to go through the motions. She knew she would have to put on a smile and show for everyone when she arrived to the group she had assumed had already responded to Kal’s call. It was not like her to let others see her true emotions when she was this upset, and she wasn’t about to start now.

When she arrived she saw Kal resting on the ground, beginning to clean the blood that had been shed during the battle he had just won. Zig, his mate, was with him, no doubt she had run to her love’s call. Seeing the pair together made her broken heart hurt even more, but she pretended as if nothing was wrong, not wanting the others to see the pain she felt. The femme was surprised by the other wolf she saw, King Kong. She had not seen the brute around for a while, and he seemed upset, but for reasons she did not know. Perhaps he felt bad for his absence, but Kal was a kind ruler and she was sure that he would understand his absence. Chenzii walked in, not hearing what the other’s had previously said, making her way slowly to the group, trying now to focus on what the other lupines around her were saying.

The black ess turned her attention to Kal. It didn’t seem like there were any life threatening injuries from the fight thankfully, and with his presence back she knew he had been victorious. ”Kal, I’m glad to see you back here. Is there anything I can get you for your wounds? I would be willing to go to Saw Tooth to get advice from Moth if you think it needed. Zig, it is good to see you. I’m sure you’re glad to have your mate back.” She gave the ess a smile, hoping her words could mask the pain she really felt thinking of what she would do to her have love back in her life. She didn’t know anything about healing, but she didn’t know if Kal did and if there was anything he needed, but whatever he needed she would do for him. Chenzii knew that Moth was a great healer, and with Saw Tooth being allies she was confident that Moth or her other healers would help Kal if he needed it, but she didn’t want to make her alpha seem weak in front of another pack, even if it was an allied pack. The black femme then looked towards Kong, not sure if he would remember who she was with her short time in Aurora while he was here. ”Hello Kong, it is good to see you back home. I hope you are well.” The ess sat down, wrapping her plume around her paws as she waited for any instructions from Kal if he needed her for anything.
