The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

even if the world shatters around me ;;

A large sigh escaped into the atmosphere, instantly condensing in the cool late autumn air. Wavering aqua orbs watched as the transparent white clouds folded in upon themselves before completely dispersing mere seconds later. The owner of those crystalized waters now stood before the mouth of a large cave, its gaping midnight mouth releasing faint echoes from time to time, all sounds warped into whispering, haunting screams. Iason didn’t really mind all the clamor, but it really interrupted his thinking, and he had half a mind to yell some rather unpleasant words at whatever those lowlife commoners were doing in there to cause such a racket. Then again, he knew what was occurring inside those cold walls was most likely a mixture of secret love meetings and equally secret assassinations, so his lyrics would do little to deter either set. Nevertheless he grumbled at it all, constantly unhappy when there was something that he could not bend to his liking. Just like the brute he was thinking of now.

It wasn’t too hard to guess who now occupied Iason’s gray matter. Darcia, that mean little new Alpha. He thought he could order him around now that he gained some fancy new title. Yeah, well, Iason could’ve done the exact same thing he did, and then Darcia would be the one on bottom. Not that he wasn’t at... certain times. The snowy brute let out his usual chuckle at the thought. No, Iason should’ve admitted that all those chiding words were his own fault, but that wasn’t the thing that was keeping him up at night and driving him to such lengths as this spelunking adventure. No, it was the fact that... ugh, he couldn’t say it. Sadness began to well up in the he-beast’s oceans, staining the light hue, but the commander soon blinked it back and finally proceeded to enter the dungeon.

Why had he come here? To meet that idiotic boy, what else. Not that Darcia knew he would have company this evening. But every time Iason thought to approach his dark companion something would always come up. Always. The irrational pup inside of Iason nearly cried out in fury at the mere thought of it. Oh, Alpha duty this, Alpha duty that. Gotta go meet newcomers at the borders, gotta go create ties with other packs, gotta go organize a hunt. And if he were to try when that blazing maiden overhead was sleeping, Darcia would be as well. Plus he’d probably shoo him away, so there was no use. The alabaster boy’s banner drooped, audits pulling back slightly. It was uncharacteristic for the prince to sulk like this, but this torture had been going on for a long time, and the white knight was simply worn out. What an fucking meanie, that asshole he called his best friend.

Iason was here tonight, within the howling confines of the cave, because he knew Darcia would be stopping by. He had been watching his ruler recently, as he always did, and his little disappearances had not gone unnoticed. Overwhelmed with all his pack duties and needing an escape? A classified rendezvous? Iason knew not the exact reason of those little outings, but he sure as well was going to find out. So he had stalked the King one day, making sure to stay completely hidden and undetected, and learned that the destination was always this damp, unattractive place. Iason could barely stand to be within the swallowing darkness, with all the murky water and slick grime that painted the place. But this was important, and he would have to put up with it, as much as he cringed with every footstep.

The second-in-command made sure to plant no suspicions in the ebon titan’s mind. He left after the monarch and displayed every intention of sleeping the night within the borders, even making some stupid lie of a comment that he was going to visit one of the fine ladies within the territory. Not that he didn’t do that from time to time, heh heh. A self-satisfied smirk adorned the boy for a second.

Finding a nice spot relatively close to the mouth of the cave, yet still hidden from plain view, Iason settled down for the long wait he knew was to come. Perhaps he would burst out just as Darcia came into view... but then again, what fun would it be to haunt the idiot through the maze of the caverns before finally revealing himself. Iason didn’t know, and honestly didn’t care to know right now. Things would work out the way they did. And if they didn’t? Well, Iason was a desperate wolf. He would guarantee the outcome he desired. Resting his skull wearily upon his soggy paws, Iason waited. Waited and hoped that sarcasm would see him through, because he couldn’t take much more of these serious emotions hollowing him out inside.
