one week after it was posted.
Freebies are often granted to "all active characters". A character is considered active if it has made an IC post within the last 2 weeks. Posts made after the freebie was posted do not count.

We're a day late, sorry folks. I've been working more or less non-stop.
Here's an explanation for how advent works on Shaman, for our wonderful newbies who were not here last Christmas!
On each day at a random time, an advent will be posted on a different board (IC or OOC). If you find an advent within 24 hours of its being posted, you can claim it! An unlimited number of people can claim each advent, but you can't claim it after 24 hours of it being posted.
There's no need to post on the updates board - simply reply under the post to claim the advent. If it's a prize for a single character, don't forget to include the character's name.
And that's all there is to it! Happy hunting :) The first two advents have been posted today since we missed yesterday.
