Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

Kahlan? The fae turned around at the sound of the voice, knowing the vocals from a time long ago. And when she turned she saw him – the brute who had abruptly left her. He rushed toward her all of a sudden and she noticed that he had a limp… had something happened to him? Had that been why his presence had ceased? But he stopped just short of her, and looked her over. Embarrassed, the fae glanced away – she knew what array her coat was in. Disheveled, unkempt, it was not attractive. She had let herself go in the time that she had been focusing solely on her niece and nephews. She had wanted to spend as much time with them as possible since she had not know when or which one of them would be taken to Abendrot to fulfill the pact that had ensured their safe return to Saw Tooth in the first place. You’re just as beautiful as I remember. Kahlan, where can I begin? I never ran away, I fell. I slipped and fell off the path, and I was too selfish to bark out so you were aware I wasn’t dead. But I didn’t die, Kahlan, I was only hurt… mentally and physically, I thought I’d never see you again. At the sound of his voice, her yellow eyes shifted back to lay upon his icy azure gaze, and saw the hurt that lay there. Opening her maw, her vocals rang out but they were soft and confused. “I just thought that you left. I thought you left me on purpose. I didn’t even know you fell… I just thought you grew bored of me or tired of me… and left.” Guiltily she turned away once more – her mind had never thought of the possibility that he had fallen, though it should have been a idea to pop in her head – ascending to the top of Rainbow Cliff could be dangerous. It was steep and at times the path was treacherous… And then, more guilt flooded as she thought of the feelings she had began to develop for Kenshin when she had ran into him again… but she had been so sure that Anduin had left her… and then finally.. the need for self-preservation triumphed over all else. She could not think about feelings, or others, or anything of that sort. She needed to work on getting healthy before she could even begin to decipher what was going through her head… and her heart. “Are… are you okay?” |
