Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

It was pleasant, this little quest she was on with the large brown wolf. Perhaps it was only because she had never saught out company, but Ambrosia had not interacted with many others most of her first year of life. Her Mother, Andromeda, was a completely different story, but even her siblings and Father she had not spoken much with if at all. But this one, this warm and gentle packmember was someone who spoke to her and listened when she spoke in turn. It was much like how it was with Andromeda- only differently. Vastly different, in its own right. After the last question, bright violet irises flecked with their golds and emeralds and oranges turn upon the ever growing treeline. They are not too far now, and will be feeling the wonderful forest floor beneath paw soon enough. Bright white ears twitch slightly when it is that Maddox speaks, her attention half trained on him to gather his words and the other half indulged in the excitement of what lay before her. His words draw her attention completely, though. She stares up at him in her innocent wonder and tilts her skull ever so slightly to the left.

'I've never had.. opposums before.' She knew what they were, but had never had the chance to try any. It seemed that whenever either Father or Mother brought home something beside a fluffy bunny- her sister would throw a fit about the 'dirty' animal they've brought home just for her and how she doesn't like it. Not being something Ambrosia particularly understood, she did not question it as she might have done with something else. Her sister could be intense, and the quiet flame marked alabaster girl didn't wish to cause problems or anything bad between them. Such was the way between herself and most of her family- save for Andromeda, of course. With Andromeda, Ambrosia always felt that she could speak without a filter and knew she could trust in her Mother completely. Not only that but she adored her Mother, a love as simple and sweet and pure as her namesake. Her Mother would probably not object to trying a new thing, and Ambrosia had learned most things from her after all. 'I would like to try.' Immediately following is another one of her sweet smiles, directed for the brown wolf only.

But it falls short when her teacher reached out his paw before her, only to slow her down. Curious as ever, her gaze follows his and what she finds has her nose twitching and her pristine white ears perking forward. There is a stranger ahead of them, who they are still headed toward, and she is silent. She seems to be white, as Ambrosia is- and even has flame red markings upon her fur. But she also holds black tones to her red as well as a grey, and her white fur appears dirty and disheveled. The little one had never been one to fuss too much about grooming, but she knew some within her family held it at the utmost importance. This other so obviously did not, and the lack of words- instead of deterring her, it made her even more curious about this stranger. Why did they not speak, and why did they stare at her so? Those piercing, bright red eyes were so different than any Ambrosia had seen in her entire life. They were haunting, in a way, and almost as if it were a coincidence, Maddox is then between the almost-yearling and the oh so strange stranger.

Ambrosia is almost tempted to speak against this, but knows much better of this. And it is unlike her to wish to do so, regardless. The stranger was liable to be dangerous, and the brown wolf of the Queen's Guard knew best. Especially within the freelands, when one could so easily be ambushed and attacked. But that isn't to say that that exotic violet gaze doesn't manage to find its way back to the stranger. For when the pair pass her and she is off to the side but slightly behind them, Ambrosia is turning her ivory head upon her flame marked shoulders and glancing back. She does not know why they do not say anything, but, perhaps it is because they are like her. Andromeda is like her, but Andromeda also speaks freely to and with others. Ambrosia does not, and she wonders if this other unknown female does. But while her mind remains behind them, her rather large paws carry her forward obediently beside Maddox. She isn't looking where she is going, and that is when her currently obnoxiously large paws catch on something underfoot.

She almost tumbles head over heels but at the last moment she catches herself. It almost seems as if she hops before righting her step- and thankfully no pain comes with the pressure. Almost distractedly, Ambrosia glances for what seemed like the 100th time up at the dak and light brown wolf before attempting to find the stranger behind them. Did she leave? Is she still there or maybe is she even following them? Vivid violet irises stare hard and try to figure all her questions out, while she absently moves along with Maddox, her mind too distracted and focused to be a good thing.
