Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

goes the clock, we laughed at fate and mourned her, tick tock goes the clock even for the monster

Don’t flatter yourself, the gruesome monster distastes everyone: male or female, adult or pup, wolf or non-wolf. All her life she was on her own. Nothing good ever happened. She was dissatisfied with everything and so she thought it was acceptable that she kept to herself. When she was barely weaned she had overheard her parents mumbling their disapproval of her. Apparently, in their pack, when a pure black wolf had a grey diamond shaped marking, it was a sign that she was cursed. In her old pack they were supposed to be the purest of black, no marking of any color was allowed save for white. White was pure, clear opposite of black. Grey, grey held the two opposite colors within one, it was tainted, it was not pure and it was wrong. What kind of a curse she was supposed to be, she didn’t quite know, but whatever it was, it gave her parents the right to chase her out. After waving her rump in the air in a taunting matter she couldn’t help, but smirk as he half-choked out his response. Her right torn ear twitched as a dark chuckle gurgled out from her throat, almost sounding like a growl. Poisonous lyrics dripped out slowly as she shot his lie down.

“Liar…you know you like my ass.”

She was half-tempted to do it again. Just for the fact that she knew he would appreciate it. Yet she was in no mood to satisfy any hidden desires. As he neared closer to the ledge she growled softly not caring that he was so close to her. Lifting her head upwards she craned it forward looking over the ledge once more. Indeed that would be a terrible fall. He wouldn’t make it into the small creek, down the bottomless pit he’ll go. His body never recovered. No one would know that he laid there dead, except for her. Perhaps once every Spring she would return to this very spot and laugh as she thought of the crazy wolf named Jago throwing himself off a ledge…all for her name. As he lowered himself into leaping position she would turn her head away ignoring his words. Come away as unlikely friends…well he was correct about that, but still she would not give out her name. It wasn’t a pride thing. She just didn’t think her name was worth remembering, giving something a name meant you cared, it meant that you would know that individual, and she would rather continue going through this world being forgotten…after all legends don’t always have the names of the monster correct…take Frankenstein for example.

Dark blue eyes narrowed as she continued to look away from him. Her head turned in the other direction giving him the ‘okay’ that she wouldn’t stop him. Yet out of the corner of her eye she saw him flinch, thinking he leapt. Suddenly she sprang into action. Getting on her four paws she leapt over him, seeing his body lean forward. When her sleek ebony painted body leapt at his side it caused his leaning form to ‘fall’ over the ledge, his front paws didn’t hold on to the rocks anymore, so in a way, she accidently did ‘shove’ him off. Yet in her mind she thought he really tried to jump. Her front claws dug into his shoulders as her teeth grabbed a hold at the back of his scruffy neck, moving her body back, dragging him with her. As soon as she dragged him far away from the edge, she let go of his carcass and snarled. Moving to his front, her own body was standing at the edge, of the ledge, now. Cold blazing indigo spheres narrowed as a nasty snarl exploded out as she began to yell at him.

“You numbskull bonehead! Throwing yourself off a cliff because some girl wouldn’t give you her name.”

Unbeknownst to her the ledge apparently didn’t appreciate the amount of weight it was carrying. Having two wolves making a ruckus was causing the loose rocks to get looser. As she stood at the edge she didn’t feel the ground shake and shift, thinking that her own fury was causing her body to shake, just ever so slightly. Her dial lowered as she was only mere inches from his face, he would get a perfect view on those bright amethyst flecks that surrounded her iris. Her hackles rose as her bristled fur gave off the impression that she was rather pissed off, and if he couldn’t see it, then perhaps seeing her teeth snap so close to his nose would do the trick.

“Oh we’re going to be friends all right…every time someone mentions you I will say, I saved your…pathetic… miserable…life-ahhh”

The rock below her began to crack. She could feel her own body become weightless if only for a second. Her angered form went tense as she made a half leap, trying to get to where he was, his side of the ledge remained attached unbothered by the pieces that fell below her. Her front paws managed to grab hold at the end, her upper torso was safe, but it was every waist down that was dangling in the air. She could hear the sounds of fallen rock start sliding and slamming into the side of the mountain they had just climbed. If she didn’t hurry up, she would travel down the same path. Her front legs would move back and forth as she tried hoisting herself up, but the only way she would ever manage was if she was helped by someone. Of course right now, her mind was in the process of ‘fight or flight’ and right now she was trying to fight her way back on solid ground, not fighting over the idea whether she should scream our for help or not. Though through it all, there was only a second when her eyes flickered with fear, but that was changed to determination. She would get herself out of this spot. Perhaps this was an inchoation for these two…a beginning of friendship…that is if he helped her up.
