Peace isn’t a permanent state. It exists in moments

ONLY DEATH AND LOVE CHANGE ALL THINGS

His apology was filled with empathy and truth

When he came closer she didn’t flinch or pull away but embraced his warmth and neck around hers feeling him bury his face in her locks. The moment was dramatic and wonderful but like most things between then it didn’t last long. His words surprising brought comfort hearing that he wanted her to wait for him. She assumed they would have brought more anger for what he wanted and dreamt was selfish. Despite the reality of it Sylvia could not fight her feelings and so when he pulled away to explain that she deserved better, Sylvia closed her eyes

What did that even mean?

Everything he explained sounded terrible to her. All she ever had wanted was Midas and now here he was. Midas wanted her to wait for him and she had, yet now he was pulling away and trying to send her on her way? His outburst made Sylvia stand still as though she was frozen in place. As he turned and started to walk away Sylvia heard his voice choke beforehand and figured he just may be crying which shattered her heart into a million pieces.

That was all it took to send her forward and around to face him head on

”don’t you dare walk away from me midas!” seeing the tears stream down his face it confirmed what she had been thinking. Stepping closer Sylvia hoped he would pause in his tracks and allow her to wrap herself around him now and hold him close to her like she had yearned to do for so many years. ”please don’t ever leave me again” her own tears started as she sighed ”Just promise me that, you need me just as much as I need you” Sylvia didn’t actually know if he did but she was hoping judging by his actions

Midas was hers always had been and always would be

”stay here with me and instead of going back, we’ll just fall in love tonight” . Hopefully by doing that they’d never feel the heartache or feel the need to say or want to leave each other’s side every again. Truth be told Sylvia couldn’t imagine trying to live without him again now that she knew he was here and felt his skin against her own. Call it selfishness or jealously, whatever it was Sylvia just knew it to be real. So real it felt raw and burning.

Her desire for him was far more in-depth than just love and yearning
