Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

goes the clock, we laughed at fate and mourned her, tick tock goes the clock even for the monster

The gruesome creature chose to ignore the pup because she was vile, prideful, and annoying. She was stuck up. Those are the reasons why she was unworthy in her eyes. That was why she didn’t really have any need or consideration to really worry about the pup. Her sleek figure would start to walk, her movements subtle holding an electric charge in them. Her half torn ear would spiral around the top of her head picking up on the different sounds around her, her left ear pointed forward picking up on anything she might have missed. Her movements were carefully calculated although it looked as if this was nothing to her. The way her paws would barely make a sound as they pressed on the luscious green grass below, the way she would move her body around a thicket, her head held high, her tail down, cold eyes narrowed as she was focused on something else. Without looking at the pup she would speak with a callous tone.

”Sanguis vester est nada.”

“Your blood is nothing.”

It did not matter to her that the pup belonged to some pack, whatever this pack was, it was nothing impressive. To teach their young to be brats. What kind of wolf would want to associate themselves with this? Any wolf with true dignity would not be anywhere near this pack, and she hoped, for the pup’s sake that her pack never fell in ruin. Oh what pride would she have then? None. She would have nothing to be proud of. Maybe this little pack of hers did need to be brought down…perhaps a little bit of humility was in order here. She would turn her head around, the shadows from the moon etching sinister shadows along the jagged scars that took over half her face and muzzle. She peered down at the girl, as a devilish smirk appeared, showing off a part of her shiny teeth.

“Manifestum est quod aliquis digne cogitari, et habeas ... pup iudicare non discere. Non crediderunt, sed morum non sunt passim omnibus diversa dogmata.”

“Clearly someone thought I was worthy, and you have no right to judge pup…you have much to learn. Believe it or not, but your customs are not taught everywhere, everyone has different teachings.”

As she continued strolling along with the annoying pup at her side her ears continued to pivot back and forth and once again her attention was focused on a more pressing matter. Something to occupy her jaws. Lowering her head to the ground she would sniff it following the trail, her jaws open slightly. Her tail swayed side to side as she quickened her pace. Suddenly something big and brown dashed in front of them, and a high squeal couldn’t heard as her massive jaws clamped down on the big juicy rabbit. Throwing it in the air she would play catch with herself, clamping harder each time on the rabbit until the carcass was limp and the squeals stopped. She would turn around and walk slowly towards the girl. Giving a rough snort she dropped the rabbit and held her head over it, looking the girl in her eyes. That devilish smirk returned as she tilted her head to the side, glad to hear that frustration in her tone.

Sed plane quasi Ambulabat ... qui te numquam haec eadem docuit.”

“Well clearly I walked here and as for who taught me these words…you will never know.”

Grabbing the rabbit she flopped herself back on the ground. Both paws on either side of the rabbit as she quietly tore into it enjoying the taste. She had skid the ‘alone’ question on purpose. It wasn’t something she wanted to discuss, especially to a spoiled pup.
