Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

wolf

The wind was chilling. It provided a subtle brisk breath of air that was a definition of cold but was not in any case spine shattering. The moon was out at this time of night, a gentle backdrop to the darkness creeping from their homes behind trees and bushes and underneath the earth. A bird flew overhead, a robin. For some reason, they never travelled south for the winter. A lupine crunched her way through the tall snow, the light of the moon illuminating her pelt. From what they couldn’t see, she was a dirty-cream colored wolf from her shoulders up, but softened to a dull brown at her rear, ombre looking from any direction. Her eyes were amber, her features expression irritation and annoyance. The ess was not used to company. No, she would rather be alone by herself on most days instead of being a wolf absorbed in a pack 24/7. That was not her style. Plus, if she ever became a pack wolf, which she wouldn’t, it would drive her to an insanity she would never be able to overcome. At least one wolf in a pack was going to annoy the crap out of her. So, the life of a loner was the only explanation to her personality. The wolfess, Macartni, travelled alone during all parts of the day, only sleeping in her secluded den she found at Leisure Lake a day or two before. The girl knew where she was going; Rainbow Cliff was hard to miss.

The ess made her way up the side of the cliff, walking along a ledge towards the top. What the heck was she doing? Truly, even the conscience in the back of her mind didn’t quite understand.Macartni was a medium sized wolf, like most grey wolf females living now in the world. But, she was a big muscular for her age and size, ale to beat out a small adult male if need be, which was hard to do. A flicker of a chill sent her audettes flying back against her skull as she walked calmly through the snow. Winter was proving to be quite cold this year, and the vixen’s undercoat was beginning to get longer to help keep her insides warm. It was a long walk from the lake to this cliff that towered above her (she didn’t really know why she was coming here that evening in the first place). There was no snow falling and no need for a walk late at night. But before her pondering thoughts could send her home, she pretty much stumbled over a lump in the snow under the cliff. She flew into the frozen glitter, white spraying all over her face. She growled to herself, scenting the wolf she somehow didn’t see earlier. Her ivories showed through her maw, and she turned around to look at her attacker.

Macartni was surprised. A pup, maybe a teen, was at her feet, green eyes ablaze while the moon illuminated the outline of her black pelt. Realizing that her hackles were raised and her maw was pulled back in a makeshift snarl, she shook her head and her body as the crusty snow in her pelt flew away into the wind. “Be more careful next time! God, you would think nowadays that you could just fall asleep anywhere you want and the park police won’t come in and stop you. At least make yourself be known instead of reclusing into the back of the shadows where no one can see you!” If the girl regretted her words, she didn’t show it, the irritation leaking out from her pelt not much less than the fear or astonishment the pup in front of her was feeling. Sliding her tongue over her kissers, she asked forward another question, getting rid of her anger and scolding the pup all the same. “Why are you out here anyway? Don’t you have like a den or whatever you should be sleeping in?”
