aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

The Way of the Warrior

It is with silent stride that the white phantom treads toward and then into his father’s territory with not a sound. Not a word. Though company is the thing he is least used to, company is the thing he searches for. Specifically, it is his family that he searches for, for over the years they are the only things that have remained. Albeit an intermittent relationship, it is the only relationship in his life. The son of the King of Aurora Borealis returns home to meet his father… but more so to develop a relationship with his adopted sister. Though he had never met her, he wanted to dearly be the big brother to her that he never had. Ensure that she had the family that he never did. And maybe, just maybe, she could calm his soul and temper the darkness of his mind, for the ivory brute that traveled now in the darkness of the pines and firs that painted the terra was not sound of mind. He had walked too many nights alone and had only the mistress of the night as his maiden. It was strange, for he was a handsome brute to be sure, stripped of any color lending him his appearance. It was that of a ghost, and the hush with which he traveled lend to that ideology as well.

But he was not ready for the company… no not yet. For it was not all glad news that he would be bearing to his father. How was he to tell Kalgalath that his blood daughter was unaccounted for? That she had, in an attempt to impress their father and to make for them a home that they had never before had, challenged the King of Munashii Gekko for the right to rule the territory. Her wounds had been severe, but then again so had Serris’. Aindreas had seen his previous Master with his orbs, and they had conversed and fought and argued and such. The white titan had left in a huff, his beliefs shook. He was the type of lupine who needed rules to live by and a leader to follow, for his life had been so chaotic that he yearned for organization. When he had returned to Munashii Gekko after all of those years of absence, he thought that Serris would be his Lord and Master. But how could Serris be a true Alpha if he left his terra open to strangers, gone for months at a time. He bothered not even to get to know his pack members, not even Aindreas who had been so blindly faithful for months on end. False accusations had marked the end of Aindreas’ undying loyalty and instilled within him a seed of doubt that had grown, confusing him and sending him into turmoil.

It was peace that he sought now. A path away from the confusing in his home terra, away from the pain and emptiness that Genisys had left when she had disappeared. Why he thought that he would find it within Kalgalath’s kingdom was unbeknownst to him. But it was better than being within Munashii Gekko for the moment where all his services had been repayed with was distrust and scoffing insults.

The wandering titan walked both with and without purpose, not knowing his direction, but wandering aimlessly and did not stop until he realized that the ground beneath his paws had changed ever so slightly. Looking up, his piercing arctics saw that while his mind had escaped to its secret abyss, the sky had opened and snow had begun to fall from the sky, threatening the onslaught of a blizzard. That was fine with Aindreas. He had gained his size from his father and his pelt from his mother, lending to him warmth and strength. Snow affected him naught. And it would change nothing. He would be as invisible in a snow storm to others as he so often was, invisible to the eye and to their attention. But the footing beneath the snow’s blanket had become softer…and that was what he had noticed. It was no longer the frozen forest earth, but the soft silt that surrounded the lake. Suddenly, upon a whim, a growl grew within his chest and rumbled forth until it was a loud roar that echoed over the frozen surface of the lake and he put into that scream all of his feelings, everything that he forever kept him. It was only when his vocals shut themselves off that he saw not far from him an eboness. His form froze, his arctics glued upon her. But would she even see him as the wind blew flakes around him in a swirl…
