Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Orion blinked his yellow eyes at the female sitting atop her rocky perch. She didn't seem very friendly, and certainly didn't seem to want him around. His ears laid back against his head slightly. Of course the black pelted male had dealt with the unkind folk, not everyone was friendly, or even at all agreeable. He tended to get along with most that he met, if they were friendly to him as well, but there were times where that wasn't all possible. She looked annoyed, and clearly did not think much of him as she continued to tear apart the bird as he was standing there. He didn't care for bird. They were usually all feathers and no meat, not worth the effort that it took to catch them.

The male's ears laid flatter at the annoyed question and her growl. "I am new in these lands and simply looking for someone to have a conversation with." he said plainly, his yellow eyes looking as unimpressed as she was at the moment. Orion was usually a kind and congenial wolf, but he responded to the attitude of others. Well, if she was going to be disagreeable, then he would just have to be the bigger wolf so to speak. "I didn't know you were in the middle of a meal, I am sorry for disturbing you." The words were delivered with no venom in them... though he was quite miffed that the female would treat him in such a way. Well, maybe she was just annoyed with him for having disturbed her meal. Even so he could never understand when others would be rude to each other, it just seemed to get nowhere and produce nothing except hurt feelings.

Orion's yellow gaze met the female's with confidence; he wasn't afraid of her. But she did intrigue him, even though she was being quite rude. Most that he met were very interesting. The wanderer had met many in his travels and seen many lands, but so far this place had proven to be quite interesting. Moladion, he had learned the name from the first wolf that he had met here. Orion wanted to learn as much as he could about these lands, and he just hoped that more would be kind like Taliesin had.

The heavy, humid swamp air hung around them. It felt claustrophobic, almost as if it was closing in around him. The distant sound of bugs and birds and other wildlife in the swamp was a little spooky under the moonlight. The trees and water concealed the dangers that the swamp held, and it was a little unsettling. The air seemed to almost cling to his fur, and the humidity made the air have an almost solid quality. Well, it was certainly not worth sticking around her especially if this female didn't want him around. Orion broke his staring contest with the female to glance around the swamp surrounding them. He wondered quietly what the best route to get out would be... or if he'd turn around the way he came. He blinked before looking back up at the female. Maybe she would warm up a little.
