Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

Fear makes the wolf bigger than he is.

Obstacles are like wild animals. They are cowards but they will bluff you if they can. If they see you are afraid of them… they are liable to spring upon you; but if you look them squarely in the eye, they will slink out of sight. ~Orison Swett Marden.

It wasn’t hard to figure out that this female was no threat. She was calm and peaceful yet strong despite her odds. Her personality brought an oddly calming effect upon the mixed up brute but random sparks of anger would boil through his being and he would be forced to look away from her. He had ravished the fish in three bites, portraying the hunger that wracked his form, leaving behind the inedible skeleton and guts that didn’t take his fancy. The adolescent barely took notice of her first statement, chewing on the side of his cheek in an awkward manner as he tried to look anywhere but at the she-wolf. However when she answered his question on how exactly how she caught fish, curiosity got the better of him and he turned his head, ears perked alertly on his crown as he listened to her response. Though he knew she could not see, out of instinct, the brute nodded his head in a fluid motion before realising that in order to confirm that he understood he would have to speak. ”Oh, I see.” He could have said much more on the topic, after all he had found it rather interesting, but the fact that his vocabulary did not steam past words he needed to get by he was simply unsure of how to answer.

Silence was soon upon the pair and the male found a small, comfortable smile falling on his kissers at the prospect. Quiet was something well favoured by the youngster and when, during conversations he found dreadfully uncomfortable, words ceased to exist he found himself relaxing slightly and beginning to enjoy that wonderful view below the ledge. He had only found himself in places like this once or twice before and the opportunity to gaze down upon the land was a well savoured treat. Of all the places he could have chosen to look over, his stargazers fell immediately to the pack. Saw Tooth looked so small and yet so grand from up here and though he had come round to the idea of calling the place home once again, it still caused conflicting emotions to rise. Many wolves resided in that place, many that he loved, but others were trickier to figure out... Blaze in particular. As if by coincidence, Mink spoke up once again bringing to light the current upsetting ideas running through his mind. ”Yes I am, Saw Tooth in fact.” Yet again his vocals were cut short as he shifted his body weight once again.”You?” As he asked the question, his nose took to scenting the air, trying to figure out before she even answered whether or not she was. So far he could not scent any other perfume or cologne intertwined with hers and so he remained silent, watching the maiden and waiting for her answer.

As he gazed over her he saw the clear shiver trickle down her spine and realised actually how cold it really was. Due to his thicker coat, the male hadn’t really noticed until prompted and now his own frame quivered. That was until Mink’s next set of words erupted and Hachi’s auds crumpled suddenly to his head. He had not expected her to ask such a question and in doing so had suggested that the two spend more time together. Limbs pushed up against the earth in a panic and without hesitation the lad turned away from her walking towards the body of the cliff in order to make his way down. He had not signed up to caring for an invalid and would not be held responsible if something happened to her. His paws carried him swiftly away from but he paused on the edge, paws hovering over the body of the rock that would carry him down to the land below on which he could scarper far away and never have to converse with her again. But something stopped him then, a niggling sense of sympathy as his cranium turned to look back over his shoulder. With a sigh, the male turned once again padding back towards the vixen where he paused and pressed his nose against her shoulder. ”Okay, come on. Stick close to me.”

With that he pressed against her, letting her know where he was so that she could walk next to him. Slowly he moved towards the edge of the ledge, this time turning to face up the body of the cliff. Carefully he placed his paws judging the stability of each piece of earth they walked upon. He kept his body close to hers so that with each movement a part of him was touching her. It was reassurance for both and though slightly uncomfortable for the brute he bit his tongue and carried on. ”Are you okay Mink?” The brute flicked his auds in her direction hoping to hear over the ever growing wind.
