What had he expected? If Tesseract had known there had been some sort of expectation, than surely he would have been curious as to what exactly that had been - what had Rogue said, exactly? Any wolf who thought of Tesseract as some hulking brute had surely been deluded. Since he had been a child, he had always been honest enough with himself; he was no more stronger than the next wolf, a creature built for speed and endurance - reliant, almost. It had been the damage done to his elbow that had made him unsure during his battle, after all, for his legs and speed were his primary defense and weapons. A wolf like Attu, though? They looked strong, yes, and surely reeked of pure power and yet... he had never worried over them. Even now, in front of a creature almost double his weight, he could sit confidently with that almost smug smile - nobody could outrun him, or outlast him.
As for killing the male? Well, he hardly even considered that a possibility lest the male force his hand. After all, he had only been brought here for information or curiosity's sake - why waste him? Death only had to go to those that committed atrocities, not those that simply waited by on the island of Glorall. Still, he couldn't help but smile slightly when the male spoke of the day - not quite what he had in mind, perhaps? It would be over soon enough, if things went well of course. Soon enough, he'd be lead out of Glorall and given freedom once more, with no hard feelings on the sea side pack's accord though surely the same couldn't be said for him. With that, he flicked his ears and nodded as the male began his tale, a story that seemed to move for some time.
At the sheer mention of Paldor, Tesseract's ear flickered forward, a brow shooting up curiously as he tilted his head. So, Rogue had been correct? The male had come in search of Paldor, or so it seemed at least - the implication had certainly been there. But why exactly? There had been some that had spoken of the fire before it had hit Moladion and yet nobody sought their blood despite the dozens that burnt away into the ground. He hummed in thought for a moment before he spoke, his words flat and even so as to give away no inner thought.
"You speak of a wolf I happen to know, this Paldor. Tell me, why would you seek him? Do you seek him?"
He paused for a moment, tilting his head to its opposite axis before a sly smile made its way over his muzzle. This could be much more... beneficial than he had originally thought, particularly taking into consideration the latest happenings within Moladion.
"Tell me - what would you do to know such a thing? To find a home?"
