Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

goes the clock, we laughed at fate and mourned her, tick tock goes the clock even for the monster

It was twilight, slowly but surely the shadows would only increase as the sun began its descent and the Moon began its accession to the inky blot sky. As the purple and blue skies slowly faded to black a whisper of bitten northern wind carried a harsh cold nip to it, warning the woodland creatures that Winter was coming soon. Winter was her favorite season. Only those strong and clever enough survived while the weakest were left to be preyed upon, Mother Nature is never forgiving and neither was the gruesome creature. We find our Monster tucked away in a thick brush between two might trees. She was curled tightly in her niche, sleek ebony tail covering her scarred face. As a creature that thrived on myths and legends she was content with waiting for night to fall, when she could rise with the moon and prowl her makeshift home. Out of all the free territories she enjoyed the woodlands the most. She was comforted by the natural protection the massive trees provided and the food wasn’t bad either. A tattered ear twitch at the sound of the nocturnal creatures beginning their wake up routine. Inhaling deeply catching familiar scents, making note of who and what came by her little dwelling her dark sapphire eyes snapped open suddenly. Those amethyst flecks, within her eye, seemed to brighten if only for a moment as little bits of silver rays from the moon hit them through the foliage. Silently she lifted her head and then her agile, but strong frame.

Stepping through the brush, bits of twigs and leaves clung to her sleek ebony pelt. With one firm body shake the debris fell from her thick fur as her head turned to the left and right taking in her surroundings. Craning her head slightly she inhaled that cold breeze carrying the scent and promise of a tasty treat nearby. Her tail, trimmed with silver swayed side to side lazily as she headed in that direction that advertised the area where she should dine. Quietly she would move at a comfortable pace, stirring her body to life as she focused on the idea that she would be getting breakfast oh so quickly. As she moved through the woodlands, the moonlight would peek through what was left of leaves along the mostly bare branches, causing the grey markings to shine so brightly and yet from far away it was muted. The scars that graced all over her form were shining like small meads of valor. As her nose twitched catching the scent and tracking it, she was distracted by the movement of a familiar figure up ahead. Growling softly at the annoyance that another of her kind was here, her sleek ebony tail trimmed with silver slashed the air in annoyance. The low grumbling growl that was stuck in her chest ceased as the female approached closer. Three claw marks trailed from the top of her forehead, where a light patch of grey shaped like a diamond was sat, those jagged lines continued over her eye and down her cheek and muzzle, giving her such a ghastly façade. Annoyed for the loss of attention for her meal she tilted her head to the side in a non-threatening manner as she looked to the other, staring silently back.
