Life is nothing but a Game

Fundamental

If the stallion had ever watched Lassie he would have laughed at how closely this resembled the dog leading along its owner. The mare would pause and allow him to follow, to keep her within eye distance but ever a step ahead in what seemed like a never ending journey. In the very least the palms became thicker, blocking out a lot of the harsh wind that made the pelting sand sting his skin disappear.

When a shallow cave finally stood up ahead Fundamental felt his body sag with relief. Pushing himself into a trot the last few strides he happily joined the mare and would have sunk to the floor given half a chance. Instead his ears twitched to the words and a strange look crossed his face. That accent, it sounded just like Satitba. Turning his face to the mare he gave her a strange look though none of it aggressive. It was clear he was trying to figure her out.

“I’m not suicidal. The water was calm when I crossed. The storm came in after I made it to Atlantis, I just didn’t know where to shelter.” He said, though that curiously confused look remained upon his face. Something was tugging at his mind about her and suddenly it clicked, a smile forming on his lips. “Your Satitba’s mother aren’t you?” he asked, hoping that he hadn’t been mistake on how they were related but he knew without a doubt the two mares shared blood.
