Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

goes the clock, we laughed at fate and mourned her, tick tock goes the clock even for the monster

It was never her intention to get herself knocked up. She wasn’t one that ever had the desire to raise a family or have a puppy. Not once did she ever imagine what it would be like if she was able to have something good happen to her. All her life she was told that she would be nothing more than a Monster and she fully believed it. With her reputation, she was quite proud, proud to know that in other lands she was known and she was feared. Yet here, in these strange lands, she wasn’t known. She had made sure to never voice her name to anyone, not even her imprint had the honor of knowing. She was raised on the belief that giving someone your name, meant you were giving someone power over you. The only way she could voice her name was if she decided that someone deserved to know, someone she could trust. The girl didn’t trust a single soul here, and so, her alias would remain unknown. Yet her reputation as a Monster wasn’t quite going so well. Instead she was being sought out, recognized, as the wolf that saved the Angel King from a mountain lion. She didn’t know who the old white wolf, or what importance he held, but it was rather annoying when others would seek her out, whispering and watching. She had accepted Isola’s charity, allowing the Master Healer to patch her up, but she couldn’t stay for long…it didn’t feel right being in a pack. What also didn’t feel right was when the ebony, crimson marked, brute got a little bit too close to her rear. Her ebony tail whacked him sharply across his face, her amethyst eyes narrowed. The last time she allowed someone that close to her, her instincts took over and became her downfall.

“It was not my interest…he wanted a pup, and his desire and our natural instincts kicked into overdrive.”

A nasty scowl appeared on her mauled face as she watched him carefully. He was still a pack wolf and as a loner, she was already weary of him. Not nervous, just carefully observant. A tattered ear pointed towards him when she heard the popping sound come from his neck. Ignoring it entirely she would move her dial away from him, looking over at the frozen pond. She could hear the slow rumble of her stomach growling, urging her to eat, a little more than usual. She had to feed for two this wintery season. Really, she wanted to do everything she could to get rid of it, starve herself, but something inside her was saying no. For some reason there was an unknown nurture side of her that was trying to pop out. She couldn’t ignore it. Perhaps, with Chael, he was causing her to feel differently. She could feel her imprint want a child and for some reason she was willing to oblige, even though she had no intention to want one in the first place. Truly she had no idea why she felt the need to be around him and to fulfill what he wanted. She was not meant to be with one that had no backbone, she wasn’t meant to be with someone that was a lowly scum on the totem pole. She needed someone that was her equal, and Chael was not an equal…not her equal. As he slithered closer in the snow, she remained still , as sapphire eyes met his sunset ones. Her bloodstained lips were lifted, barely showing her sharp white fangs. Healed skin cracked and few bits of blood came out, but it was ignored.

“And some females don’t want to end up being with the weakest link…but we all can’t get what we want.”

Cold detached tone held an underlining meaning, she knew full well that he was one of the reasons why her imprint would always forever be lower than her. She noticed when Chael was with her, he didn’t act so submissive, but he didn’t act dominant either. It was something she rather appreciated. She couldn’t stand weakness, and for some reason, when he was near her he seemed to be able to absorb her own self-confidence and assurance. Perhaps, if he was in a different environment, among another pack he might be able to reach his full potential by not being a low wolf. But that would never happen of course, his pack in Iromar beat that will out of him. She had no reason to care about anyone or anything about a pack that called themselves Demons. Weren’t packs supposed to help one another? Isn’t that the entire point? Shouldn’t all members be strong and not weak? She wasn’t sure, but she could only assume. After all, no one in her pack was weak. As he mentioned his reasoning she couldn’t help but smirk, her two sharp canine fangs sticking out from her marred muzzle.

“Shouldn’t you provide her a bigger meal with the pack? Low on food in your own lands?”

She knew packs typically hunted larger game. Why he was not providing his mate with decent food and feeding her scraps of little woodland creatures, she didn’t really know. However, he was extra competition. Winter was already a tough season when hunting for food. Let alone, she would have to be carefully when she went after food, making sure she had enough while being careful to keep herself safe. It would be difficult, but she had survived so much…how hard could this be? While the brute began to sneak the idea of giving her pup up she snarled. Ebony fur rose as she glared at him. Moving swiftly she would move closer to him, raising her head up to meet his glowing eyes. Her tone was cold, sharp, and sliced through the bitter winter air.

“I’m not an idiot. You only want the pup because its Father is one of your own. How do I know the pup will not be treated poorly like Chael? She may have his blood, but she has mine as well…”

A low growl rumbled through her throat as that annoyed and furious look was given to him. If he was trying to make her give up her pup he was mistaken. The child was hers For the first time in her life she had something she could own. The child that was growing inside her, it may belong to Chael, but the pup was her own, it was inside her. That instinct and nurture side was creeping in, taking over as the logical side of her mind was screaming, telling her to give up the child for selfish desires. She was caught in a war within herself. She wanted to keep the child, to be by the child, to raise it and teach it…to make up for everything her parents and her own pack did to her. She was a wayfarer, and he life was not meant for a pup. She barely survived on her own when she was barely a yearling. Yet the child needed a pack…there was far too many dangers, and in her condition she was still healing. She had to protect herself and once again, she was showing that cruel, monstrous side. Chael would have to forgive her, because she couldn’t forgive herself. Her cold tone felt from her bloodstained lips calmly, as she gave him a haunted look.

“If I allow the pup to stay…I want access…I want to be able to take the pup out into the loner lands, I want to help raise her, but the pup will always remain with your kind.”

Perhaps if Chael could not be with her all the time, he could spend some time with his own pup. However, she did not want her child to be treated like dirt, just like her imprint. Her pup came from her, and she was a proud creature. Though she couldn’t help, but not be surprised, that this brute cared more for her unborn child rather than his own member within his pack. Even her child was far more important and up in the ranks than her imprint. It was something sad, but not surprising to her. Shaking her head she would tilt it to the side as she voiced her inquiry as to what she had to do with her imprint.

“As for Chael…what do you want me to do with him?”
