Excitement coiled in Nootau’s legs and he was about ready to jump to the moon and back! He was a part of a pack again, and being sent on missions! Even when he had been part of a pack, they hadn’t given him two sniffs. Now, he had the chance to excel and show everyone what he was capable of. He would head out the free lands soon, but first he’d complete the task he was best at; meeting wolves! He wanted to meet everyone, but he had to start with one. He’d decided he’d seek out Noel. They had been assigned to spar together, and Nootau was fired up to test himself! He had become more skillful and put on a lot of muscle since he last tumbled with Gaurdian in Diveen. Problem was… he’d never seen Noel.

He must be a master of disguise or something, because Nootau hadn’t even picked up a possible scent to follow. Nootau frowned in contemplation with his dilemma. Then he shrugged and called out loudly (though amiably), “Noel!” If he couldn’t find the wolf, he decided he’d call him. Nootau’s ears perked forwards and he seated himself to wait as he scanned the area around him slowly, hoping the wolf would emerge.

When nothing happened in the first few seconds, Nootau started tapping his rear foot impatiently. Noel might be far away, so it was logical to wait in one spot for him. But that was so incredibly boring, too! Nootau’s brow twitched as he resigned himself to wait longer, for it wouldn’t do if he and Noel simply missed each other because Nootau was gallivanting about in search of him. That idea did appeal more the young male, though. He liked to be on the move, after all, even if it might be counterproductive. In the future, he’d most certainly have to work on his “stillness” skill. For now though, it wouldn’t cause much harm to pace about the small clearing while he waited for a while.
