The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Return to Lunar Children

Baby; I'm too hot for you

What was life for him this evening? Boredom? Life without interest? Meltdown wasn't too sure but he knew that he had to do something. These dull moments could not go on. They were unfitting of the blue-black male. The powerful wolf was young and full of life. He had bred with a female this past season and though he didn't care about the kids that would be born per say, he cared that his genes would live on. A smirk plastered itself on his lips at the thought but it wasn't long before he shifted his attention from those pondering moments.

It had been firm in his mind of the packs around him. He had watched them ever so curiously. Intrigued and then at times; disgusted. There was one in particular that he'd never find himself among. They were a dark sort of pack, creatures that he could not ever fathom becoming a part of. There might be mystery and darkness within him but swayed more neutral than anything else. One would never find him shrieking to the skies above and going on a blood lust spree. He would not slaughter others for the sheer joy of a good time. That to Meltdown, was not a good time at all. Never would it be that. There were various other packs but he hadn't looked too deeply into them yet. He was sure that Iromar was not for him though and it never would be.

Sighing loudly, the male made his way from the shadows of the trees. His path had eventually led him in the direction of the rocky terrain. He hadn't ever been here before per say but he'd surveyed it all the same. One thought and it was all that Meltdown had needed. His journey led him here this evening and those brilliant eyes took in his surroundings. They eventually landed on the other male and interest piqued then. Well, what did we have here? A stranger but then, many were strangers to him. It was those blue eyes that drew his intrigue. Well, what had caught his attention anyway.

This wolf appeared to be staring at the heavens above and a smirk etched over the ebony male's lips. They curled with a sneer and his ears twitched a little. Flicking the left one as he trotted closer, Meltdown wondered why the other searched the skies above. What interested him so of the brilliant abyss that floated above them with so many sparkling orbs? He couldn't even fathom what held his gaze of it for so many moments. A grunt as much said this as he pauses a little distance from where the other male had disappeared into the darkness. The caverns; the abyss of black.

Moving forward again, breaths are carefully taken as he paused in front of the entrance. His brilliant eyes searching into the darkness only to find nothing. Scents linger and there's his in particular. That stranger he had spotted only moments ago. Meltdown moves forward again and into the cavern itself. Out of lunar's glare and into the silence. Only the clipping of one's claws is heard ahead of him and that of his own. There's moments when he wonders what he's heading into and yet; he's beyond caring. He's intrigued still and ever so curious of this male that had made the journey ahead of him.

Having come upon the chocolate and silver finally, he shifts his weight and pauses only a little distance from him. A haunting smile etching over his blue sheen lips once more. "Why do you stare at the brilliance so? What could possibly be so tantalizing about it? I see only darkness and then thousands of tiny lights. Globes if you will. What amazes you of them?" His tone is quiet but questioning. Amusement perhaps. He found it odd that this other wolf did such things and so, he had inquired of it. Why shouldn't he?
