Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

We All Rise Before We Fall.

I stand at the borders the sound of the rushing water filling my ears. I have long been taught to respect the strength of the rushing water and the sea the river poured into. Vast bodies of water that hide large predators that we cannot even fend ourselves against. I believe that is how one of the last alphas had perished was something came up and devoured him whole. A terrifying, but unlikely event. Still I still find myself not wishing to go to near to the ocean or explore island of the pack. Perhaps once I am bigger I will try but for now I rather like not being eaten. I see what happens when we kill and eat other things, it is a natural part of life, but I much rather be the one doing the eating. I find the single cross over on this side of the pack’s borders a fallen tree it’s branches for the most part bare and the wood worn form travel form the members coming and going across it. When the river rapids were strong in the Spring it was the only way to cross into the borders for the time being at least.

I jump onto the log easily with blind trust in it’s strength to hold my light weight, larger wolves than I cross all the time, I hardly worry that it cannot hold myself and my companion. ”Are you coming with me? Or simply going to wait here?” I say not really wishing to give her a choice. I would like to have her meet my father, the Alpha, maybe even my brothers. I stare at her with lavender eyes taking in her body language to see if she was having doubts about following me across the raging river or if she was going to stay here.

”If you are truly curious please feel free to follow me, you shall not be harmed, you have been invited.” I say still meeting her eyes my voice still its slight monotone, light yet eerie all at the same time. I think I have spoken more today than I have in my entire life, but I am happy to share words if it means she follows me further into Glorall. I am tempted to let a call out to reach my father’s ears but perhaps he will smell the slight scent of blood on me and come running or smell my guest even. I could only hope so for I adored my father and certainly could use some of his attention after my rather painful fall.
